We're back. Here's what happened.
I closed my B of A account after 30 years in business, I'd had enough of their bull shit.
Unfotuately I forgot that auto pay came out of that account ad they neglected to inform us that payment was due.
I won't go into details as to the idioocy coming from their tek support ever since, or we'd have been back up immediately.
God knows this drove us nuts. So welcome back.
Solar.
Thanks for the hard work.
Yes, thank you. Really missed you guys.
Must be the season....lol I am/was a Branch Bank & Trust account holder. In November they completed their side of the merger with SunTrust, creating Truist Bank. All fine, I got new bank card (it was due)
all pretty and such with Truist Bank on it, instead of BB&T, Cool. I had several autodraw accounts,
particularly my cable, I forgot to update new name, and expiration date. I was rusning around like
a mad hatter for a day or two....got it all fixed.
My thoughts are you got yourself free of B of A, I sure hope you didn't go with Chase...that's like
jumping from the frying pan, into the fire.

I've done it too.
A senior moment.
You cant imagine all of the conspiracy theories that were running through my mind.

And all I could think about was the security I'd be gaining by consolidating under one account....
I switched all my business to a local savings and loan in a small town, but the moment I did it, I got a letter stating they would be selling off to another lending agency after 100 years in business.
It's all big money now. :sneaky:

Toy dealt with all the headache of transferring account info within this Epik account.
So many things that could go wrong, did go wrong, right down to an idiot customer service agent who claimed to be a man in Washington, who I believe is a woman that lives in India.
The guy was polite beyond normal, almost a Benny Hill skit on steroids, and every time I'd do as requested, it would raise the bar with some new needed credential.
The last straw was stating I needed to send a selfie with me holding my DL in one hand and a utility bill in the other.
I don't even have any fuckin utilities, the only thing I do have, is a phone bill, and that is auto deduct.....
Uh Oh, I don't think I...
Shit, now my phone is going to be dead. Ah Hell, let it die, no more solicitors.
And here I thought Soros had enough of your Conservative crap.....

Interesting about the selfie. Was on the IRS site, they were asking for the same thing. What is that all about. I don't have anything that takes selfies. May have to have a grand kid do it for me.

That was what I told it! I said I too damned old to open a photo account just to send my license and face so every hacker would have all they need to screw me over.
Seriously, I think this twit was fuckin with us for political reasons. I will be filing a formal complaint.

I tried to find a new bank when we moved, could not stand any of the ones near by, not their policies, not their employees, hell not even the color of paint they chose. So I'm still with boa but now driving 75 miles to deal with them. Crap crap crap.
Mine is a small savings and loan Co. Very conservative, help with local logging and mining activities etc.
Though you have to make a request for large with drawls over $10 grand, that's the only issue I've had.
Smaller is always better..

Dang! I'll not complain, lol! My bank is 6 blocks away, or a 5 minute golfcart ride.

I'm now using Fifth Third Bank, based in Cincinnati.
Customer service has been good.
I have been with Chase Bank and US Bank,
but they're both history.
At Fifth Third, when you deposit a check, even a large one,
the money is available in one or two days.
They don't sit on it for ten to fifteen days,
like the other banks do.
More about Chase Bank and US Bank -
The local employees have been fine.
It's the jerks at the headquarters in NYC and Minneapolis
who impose policies that screw up everything.
