Should we be surprised? I don't think so.
It further validates Walker's RINO credentials!
The field is quickly thinning IMO. These guys are not from our neck of the woods!! (TEA)

Yep. These people have seen the internals, they know the base is suspicious, and they know Walker is dropping in the polls as the truth comes out about who he really is, so they float this balloon in an attempt to see if this has a chance at boosting his numbers.
It's also proof that they know Rubio hasn't a snowflakes chance in Hell.
It's just more proof how out of touch the GOPe is with it's constituency
I believe this will boost Cruz' poll numbers over night, we'll have to keep an ear out for how this pans out.
You guys are Crazy!!
Even Ronnie picked a RINO running mate to help consolidate the party! It is also a mild slam at Rubio by pushing him to a #2 position. It is really a pretty smart move that knocks some of the wind from Rubios sails at a time he is growing in the polls! Just saying he would consider him is not the same as appointing him!
Maybe Walker should come out and say he would consider Jeb too!! Note the key word is consider!!

Nah, Reagan really didn't have all that many options, and it was strategic as well, in bringing the [party together. Remember, Reagan was loved by the people, and hated by the Establishment.
If Walker wanted to appear viable, choosing a RINO is not going to bode well with TEA in the least.
Had he been smart, he'd have said Foiorina, or Cruz for that matter, and by doing so, puts him on par with the likes of Cruz.
No, this was a bone headed move on his part, and exposes him as someone that doesn't think before he speaks, just like stating he was for TTIP, yet having never read it.
Walker killed any hope of getting the nomination.

Again the Key word is "consider" That by no means committed him to Rubio but Again it showed Rubio might be more Qualified in the second position then the top of the ticket! This was a swipe Walker took at Rubio during a week that Rubio was climbing in the polls after the Times hit pieces backfired. It was a way of pointing out Rubio's inexperience without coming out and saying it! I think it is a brilliant move!
In effect it is ( He is under qualified for the top job but I might consider him as #2) This was a really well done Non attack, Attack!!

Jeez Red, did you even read the article? This in no way was a slight at Rubio, quite the opposite in fact.
QuoteH: You like the sound of Walker/Rubio more than Rubio/Walker.
SKW: Yeah, I said, Marco and I joke about it, that people mention it, we'd probably just have to arm wrestle over who would be at the top of the ticket.

I read that Solar. You never took a fun poke at someone? Remember this is on the heals of a poll that showed more people think of Rubio as a second choice! I think it was pretty clever!!

Seriously....a poll?
Post it and I'll shred it. The only polls out at the moment are either paid for by the GOP or connected with the candidate.

Wow! The hits just keep coming, don't they? Rubio? Seriously, in any position? Not today, thanx! Saw what a liberal he was when Romney was running for president and he gave a speech supposedly in favor of Romney and conservative values. Came off sounding like the rino he is.
Did Walker actually say he wants Rubio as a VP?

Apparently he's willing to arm wrestle him for the number two slot.
Just a quick observation: if the TEA movement tosses out every potential candidate the moment they utter one phrase with which we disagree, we will have no candidates left before the primaries even start. No one candidate is going to please us on 100% of the issues. Over all, I still think Walker has more support for true constitutional conservative values than most others. And Walker is experienced with handing MSM critics their collective butts, a trait giving him significant edge in the general election.
I have a lot of respect for Cruz, also, but I don't think Cruz would play nearly as well in Ohio (which, is, of course, one of the must-have battleground states) as would Walker.
As for Rubio in the Veep seat, well we only have to worry about that if Walker were to get himself on the dead list. And it just might be Walker's "consideration" is a rather sly political move, making people look at Rubio as a second seat candidate before Rubio gets his first-seat candidacy in motion.

Rubio is dead, has been since the beginning, and Walker even mentioning him as feasible is seen by the base as a RINO backed move in keeping their boy, Rubio as a viable candidate, when the fact is, he was crashing like a moth that got to close to the flames.
Ask yourself, why would a supposed Conservative give a hand of support to an Establishment candidate? Unless perhaps he was following orders from the part elite, yeah, the Establishment RINO GOP.
No, this was no accident, not a friendly jab in the least, this is blatant support for a failed Establishment candidate that didn't have a prayer in getting elected as head Honey Dipper.
One other point, you said we run the risk of tossing out viable candidates.
You mean like we did in 2012, where the RINO hid in the bushes while we let the MSM pick them off one by one?, where the only candidate leftist standing was thier guy, Mitten?
No, we need to cull the herd right now, kick all the dead weight off the wagon, and most importantly, tell the GOPe to fuck off, we are selecting our candidate, not you worthless asses.
It's time to learn from past mistakes, stop letting the leftists set the narrative.

Well, just maybe not ALL the base sees this move as a hand up. When a potentially major player starts referring to another hopeful player as second-seat, it is, in MY view, not a hand up, but a push down. Start people thinking of Rubio as second seat name. Think about it from another perspective than the "Oh, he mentioned Rubio!"
Yes, Walker mentioned Rubio. And he put out the idea that he MIGHT CONSIDER Rubio as Walker's VP running mate. And I interpreted that as meaning "Hey, folks, Rubio is not really a viable presidential candidate, but if some of you still like him, you can vote for him for VP under my name."
I'll tell you this: if I were running for a political position, and an opponent told the people that he might consider me to be his second seat, I would NOT take it kindly.
Again, I simply do not see this as a hand-UP to Rubio from walker, but as a subtly ingenious put-down.

Historically I'd agree, but when Walker was give the chance to qualify his point and state Rubio would have to concede tier, he didn't.
To anyone battling to win a war, this is seen as conceding.
What he should have said was, There is only one outcome, a Walker/Rubio ticket, but he did not.
