I've been saying for years that many illegal immigrants aren't going to like becoming U.S. citizens. Let's face it, many illegals seem to be perfectly happy to be living outside of the laws of this land (which, besides having a criminal record, is probably why they rarely attempt to legalize themselves).

This is could be especially true with a large percentage of Mexican illegals who, imo, are really looking to re-conquer the lands they had to give up after they lost the war they started against the U.S. It's all about the Mexican Reconquista to these people.


As for the "taxation" issue, let's keep in mind that the vast majority of current illegal Hispanic immigrants don't earn enough money to place themselves in productive income tax brackets (i.e. they'll pay little or no incomes taxes and, in fact, many will and do actually take far more out of the tax system than they'll pay into it).

One of the few truly negative impacts that legalization will place on these illegals is that they may not get a "pass" for the identity fraud they commit (but then again, our legal system might still over-look this issue with the ridiculous notion that "they're just trying to feed their families". 

The Unions were in closed door session along with the Chamber of Commerce negotiating with or helping the "Gang of Eight" hammer out the bill. They may have negotiated a lower wage for the illegals once given Amnesty to stay in our country, while they work their way to U.S. Citizenship; just a guess.

I saw the CNN logo and nearly didn't view this, but for a RARE change, Dobbs actually makes a point, that this was what you'd expect from a banana republic.

They aren't going to take action on anything except the Minnesota bridge collapse and on the FISA-related issues. I saw a recent piece about the first-ever public statement from the court's presiding judge (indicating at least to me that they truly do fear congressional scrutiny over this 20+-year obscenity).

Dobbs actually had latitude and pounded the illegal alien issue on CNN (Communist News Network). It was the only show that CNN allowed to be Conservative, he is with "Faux" now; but I stopped watching Fox on a daily basis and just watch the regular news when i do watch.
