Here's a story from the "what the f... don't they have something useful to do??!!" department. The federal government, in the form of the FTC, has come down on an association of private piano teachers for attempting to discourage competition... or something. I thought the Gibson guitar story was bizarre. This one is WAY past that one.
I wanted to quote a snip from this article, but I can't pick anything short that will give you the idea. Please take the time to read the whole WSJ article.

You can't teach piano to kids on an upright! You have to use, and the kids deserve to learn on, a grand.
I'm reporting you to the MTNA.

Things are easier now that the Chunnel exists. You used to have to drive it by raft to France.
Oh, you think we were hard on the Tea, wait till we go after those Boy Scouts helping little old ladies cross the street without a NTSB certification.
This administration is showing it's true Marxist core, and the bright side in all of this, most likely, 90% of those effected at the MTNA were Obozo supporters.
Piano teachers. Ain't nothin' but treble-makers.

If that reference to "PR" is about me, I live in Las Vegas. Wouldn't be caught dead in the Seattle area. I'm an ex-pat from Democrat-occupied New Jersey.
Folks this sums it up:
"The association's sin, according to the feds, rested in its code of ethics. The code lays out ideals for members to follow—a commitment to students, colleagues, society. Tucked into this worthy document was a provision calling on teachers to respect their colleagues' studios, and not actively recruit students from other teachers."
From this administration anything that would suggest an organization have any ethics will be targeted.

Excellent point! It just surprises me that our leviathan federal government would stoop so low as to target a non-profit organization that serves piano teachers, for Christ's sake. Oh, and for doing nothing, repeat NOTHING, illegal.
They must have determined that the piano teacher vote is critical in the 2014 midterms. :tounge:

Just curious. Do you have to sit at the keyboard and play it in E sharp the whole trip? I'm building a mental picture here...

No no. I sail it from the inside and play it by plucking the piano wires...
We'd all collapse if we knew the litany of bullshit our hard earned tax money was funding. I would love to see a complete and thorough accounting of the federal government agencies expenditures...it would be shocking.

If we had a real media, they could actually do an expose' to wake the sheep up.
