I haven't even had lunch yet.

We need to capture some of these terrorists in order to repopulate Gitmo.

Trump noted that his long-promised action to shrink the federal government would not apply to the American military.

More and more I am starting to like this guy.

We know that he HAD to do a few things right away or his people would have raised hell. I think its a good start but I will judge after the first year or so. I really want to be proved wrong.

Me too. I have to admit my expectations of him are low. There is too much in his background that I have placed on the backburner and hope it stays there. If things continue as he seems to be headed I will be the first to admit I was very wrong about Trump. And to be honest I do hope that is the case, lord knows it will not be the first time I have been wrong. I was so relieved when he won as I was bracing for the worst.

I think he is motivated by doing what  is best for the country and that is a 180 degree turn from the last 16 years.

I agree.

The way I see Trump is his motivations are not significantly different from Obama and H.R. Clinton. He is definitely a narcissist along the same lines: he wants to leave behind him a legacy that will be in the history books long after he, his children and grandchildren are pushing up daisies.

The difference will lie in how Trump plans to build his legacy. Trump comes from a business/capitalist background - and that background is showing up in his approach to building his legacy. So far, it seems his approach is to build up a stronger U.S. of A with a thriving capitalist economy - the exact opposite of Obama and Clinton who aim was to tear down this nation in order to rebuild it along Marxist/Leninist principles. If he is successful with what he has stated are his aims, I will be content to accept his desire for a legacy.

If anything this is going to be really entertaining.

Trust me I don't have that long for a floor show.  Trump needs to keep moving right along, for me to enjoy it.

In the end, remember this: TPP had not gone into effect. Another bullet dodged.

The abortion language also kills funds regarding involuntary sterilization and abortions and expands the order to all U.S. agencies and not just a small number as before.

QuotePromoted by Washington and signed by 12 countries in 2015, the TPP had yet to go into effect and U.S. withdrawal is likely to sound its death knell.

Its signatories — Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, the United States and Brunei — together represent 40 percent of the world economy.
