How is an honest survey in anyway a negative thing? Like it or not our society is composed people whom live here. Things such as roads and schools actually do cost money, so regardless if you think people should be counted does not change the fact that they live in the community. Therefore, it only makes sense that the allocation of our precious tax dollars are distributed in the most efficient manner possible, to whence an accurate survey is the best means to ensure that public resources are distributed in the best possible manner.

Best possible, does not mean perfect, just the most efficient.

Who said that an illegal person has a right to dictate anything, as far as I know they do not have the power of voting, therefore they really have no direct influence over policy decisions. I simply saying that persons whom reside in our country illegally, are integral to the economy, seriously try to harvest a crop, or construct a building without them, not to mention a whole lot of other low wage jobs that I certainly would not perform.  Therefore, they actually do contribute, and maximize GDP, so what is your issue with a responsible allocation of resources?
