In many cities...the mayor or the equivalent..controls the police.  That has to stop.   You get a democrat in office and you see what happens.
His own daughter is an anarchist.    Tim Kaine's son, Ellison's child, and I think Walz' kid.  I'm sure there are others.

The Mayor and city council, and some cases all the way up to the Governor , control the police, the problem is not racism it is lack of training of police officers. they do what they are told, and do the bidding of the higher ups. this has to change for this problem to be resolved. thank god we have a President that can and will.

Always remember that police departments are an arm of the mayor and/or city council because the chief is selected. Therefore, they have to be tied to those entities. Sheriffs are elected and are more indebted to the voters.

You're right.  And that's why police departments become political when they should just be enforcing the law.
