The Gun Confiscation Notice an NYC Resident Reportedly Received Will Likely Send Chills Down Your Spine

New York City has reportedly started sending out confiscation notices ordering gun owners to "immediately surrender" rifles and/or shotguns capable of holding more than five rounds of ammunition. It is illegal to possess a rifle or shotgun with the capacity to hold more than five rounds in the city, according to NYC Administrative Code 10-306 (b).

An alleged notice sent to an NYC resident, dated Nov. 18, offers the gun owner the following options:

As the folks in NYC give up their 2nd Amendment Right Colorado demand their 2nd Amendment Right.

Colorado Democrat resigns just before recall petition deadline

Just after the successful Colorado recall effort earlier this fall, DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz auspiciously reminded voters that "the recall results will do nothing to change the Democratic control of the Colorado House, Senate and Governor's office. And the commonsense gun laws that were passed by popular vote in Colorado will remain intact." An excellent point, which is precisely why Coloradans almost immediately began mounting a second campaign aimed at altering that very reality by recalling state Sen. Evie Hudah, another gun-control supporter. Her successful recall and replacement with a more gun-friendly representative would indeed shift the balance of power in the state senate — and with a mere week to go until the recall petition deadline, she's taken herself out of the game of her own accord. I wonder how many of the Sock Monkey's "sons" will be receiving such notices? An' if they do, will they abide by them?

I didn't have employment in 2010 but as I have good income now I will be helping any way I can. Maybe we could start cordinating donation on this forum to help exclude the RHINO's and help true conservatives? We are all members of other groups and organizations and doing this would require extra sacrifice, and it will probably not change much but at least it could be something, just a thought.

Hahahahahahaha!!! New Yorkers, you were told a long time ago, in the clearest possible terms, that exactly this would happen sooner or later. Remember when we tried to make you understand that registration leads to confiscation? Why couldn't you understand that there is literally no other reason for registration? You all should pose for a group photo for Merriam-Webster, a shot they can used to illustrate the definition of 'slippery slope.'

So I google GUN CONFISCATION NOTICES IN NY.  I went through 2 whole pages of 'results'.  Not one that wasn't from a RW blog/site/magazine, etc.  Now wouldn't ONE of the numerous papers in NYC pick up this story??  Wouldn't that be front page from some of the 'TABLOIDS'.  "Bloomberg Taking our Guns"??  The WSJ didn't put it on their front page--Rupert Murdoch's (FOX) very own.  Something SMELLS FUNNY.

Clear, unambiguous proof that it matters who you vote for.  For some strange reason, I always liked the in your face, seemingly independent manner of New Yorkers.... but perhaps that was an era gone by and long before the village idiots moved in.  Gun ownership and gun rights are, interestingly enough, one topic that folks from both parties agree on... Colorado (as pointed out) a great example.  I suspect there are many NY residents who will factor this into their next ballot.

Think about!  How far can ANY gun go off, on purpose or accidentally, in NYC without hitting someone or something??  I think a whole PRACTICAL set of rules go into play when you are in a city rather than the wilderness or even the BURBS.  (Hell, we have some leftover rednecks who like to shoot firearms behind our house, across a road and even across a burm on the golfcourse).  I figure if they are that loud, the bulets can be that close!)

LIAMD

That's a really weak case you make.  They have far too many cars and people texting...are they, like the size of soft drinks, next on Bloomberg's list?

All we have to do is get the gangs and the muggers and the burglars and the rapists to all agree to use only NerfTM guns. Problem solved!
