You may have seen stories about Benford's Law showing that
reported election results are "statistically anomalous,"
that the numbers from real results would be
distributed differently from the "official" results.
Why is that?

In most states, counties have wide ranges of population,
from a few thousand to multiple millions.
So, the vote tallies would also be just as varied in size.

Benford's Law says that truly random results would be distributed as shown here:



That is, the FIRST digit of truly random results would occur in the above proportions.

That seems counter-intuitive. Most people would think that
the first digit would be distributed equally from zero to nine.

(That IS true of the LAST digit of random results, but not the first digit.)


WHY should we expect the first digit to occur in such a distribution?
The following picture makes it very clear.



This graph is drawn in logarithmic scale.
It's the appropriate scale to use to show data
that ranges from very small to very large,
such as counties with widely ranging populations.

Notice, the numbers across the bottom are
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 200, 300, and so on.

Benford's Law is based on the idea that
truly random numbers will appear evenly spaced
when plotted on a logarithmic scale.

The data from the contested states show that
in the presidential race, the numbers from the different counties are NOT random.
That indicates that the numbers are fabricated.
In the other, down ballot races, the numbers from the different counties ARE random.
This indicates that Benford's Law IS true, when the numbers are not tampered with. 


There are other statistical indications of fraud, as well, such as
MULTIPLE vote dumps of EXACTLY the same two numbers, such as
5,472 votes for Biden, and 643 votes for Trump.
The odds of the SAME TWO numbers being added in MULTIPLE times is EXTREMELY remote!
