Diesel Backhoe Loader.
Looks identical to this one only min is cleaner with less hours. Sorry, it's the only video I could find on the exact machine, unfortunately it's in Spanish.
Very short video..

But the reason I'm posting this is the route the big manufacturers are taking.
They're going all electric. Can you imagine breaking ground miles from the grid and having to charge these monsters?
Can you imaging how much fuel the generators will drink over night trying to recharge this Bull Shit?
And if they think solar is an answer, then they'll need two units, one to work, while the other charges, and Heaven forbid they have cloudy days.

I can finally spill the dirt they have planned for the future. I've only talked to Taxed about this to protect my friend, who died recently.
I had a friend who worked in Cat engineering as a design engineer, his job is to develop the future.
He told me within a decade, all Cat heavy equipment will be fully computerized, to the point, no man will work on them again.

Here's their plan. When a piece of equipment is in need of a part, the machine will inform Cat HQ that it senses a part failing, a bot will be sent with the part, remove, replace and no human was needed.
We went into this in-depth, and suffice it to say, diesel repair will be a thing of the past before 2060, that's their plan, to totally eliminate diesel.
Now consider the video below while absorbing what you just heard.

Three things.
Buy low hour equipment and store it. It will go for a lot more later.
Learn/find someone who can covert it back to diesel.
And look in to running it on fryer grease.
I dream of the day a chicken can cross the road with out it's motives being questioned.

That's the problem with heavy equipment, they last longer if used regularly, or stored away for 50 or more years.
Problem is, seals and bearings dry out when not in use, so a complete tear down will be needed before use.
These new electric models could, in theory be retrofitted with diesel, but I highly doubt they left room for an actual engine.
I do like the idea of all electric hydraulics, but it will take a lot of energy to make them work.
