Ted Cruz has admitted that his campaign spread a false story that Ben Carson was leaving the campaign trail just prior to the Iowa Caucus. This is the second dirty tactic of the Cruz campaign, the first being the shameless pamphlets disguised as official Iowa Department of Elections material which the campaign sent out last week.

Ted Cruz campaign officials sent out emails to their supporters urging them to tell Ben Carson supporters that Ben Carson had dropped out and supporters should back Ted Cruz. If this stunt caused Cruz to pick up 4 voters per precinct, that is the victory of him over Donald Trump there.

Seriously, Marco Rubio is looking better all the time.

Maybe that's why Cruz apologized to Carson:

http://therightscoop.com/ted-cruz-apologizes-to-ben-carson/

Quote"Last night when our political team saw the CNN post saying that Dr. Carson was not carrying on to New Hampshire and South Carolina, our campaign updated grassroots leaders just as we would with any breaking news story," Cruz said in a statement first shared with CNN. "That's fair game. What the team then should have done was send around the follow-up statement from the Carson campaign clarifying that he was indeed staying in the race when that came out."

Rubio is not looking better all the time.

CNN reported that Ben Carson was going home for a change of clothes, before returning to campaign. Ted Cruz is a liar. Not very Christian behavior in his part.

I wonder what dirty tricks he'll try in New Hampshire.

And your sidekick Mr.Trump is the Holy Grail of the truth.

The truth was presented in this topic. Hop on the Cruz machine. It's powerful and a learning experience.

The Constitution of the United States of America that Cruz runs on will slap back to the country our forefathers died and built.

You totally ignored Solar's capture-response to Sue Ann.

This is nothing more than a non-issue..being kept stirred up by the insulter in chief.

Why do I say that. Because both Dr. Carson and Cruz spoke about this matter.

They figured out what had happened, being a gentleman who can admit when he's in the wrong, Senator Cruz apologized to Dr. Carson and Dr. Carson like the gentleman he is, accepted Senator Cruz's apology.

And that's the end of this latest non-story, attempt by CNN and the Trumpettes to stir the pot.

I've been listening to The Blaze Radio Network all day long. Glenn Beck's army is very busy trying to downplay Cruz' questionable decisions.

I know Cruz is the golden boy here in this forum, and he has an army of apologists ready to cover for him, but there is no excuse for what he did.

That being said, whether it's Rubio or Cruz at the end of the process, I'm pumped and ready to see Hillary go down in defeat this fall. Sure, I'd prefer Rubio, but I'll take slimy and sneaky Ted Cruz all day long if that's who we end up nominating.

So why would a person stay at a pro-Cruz forum and then call him slimy and sneaky?  So for the record when you post don't use the word "we".  Because I for sure do not consider myself like you.

Cruz did not do it. A supporter did it and Cruz apologized. Cruz himself knows this is a distraction and would not approve it for that reason.

Is this worse than Rubio signing on with Chuckie in the gang of eight?

Rubio aligned with Marxists and tried to pass amnesty and lied to his constituents.  Try again.

OK, fair enough, Rubio did support amnesty. However, I think he now realizes it was a mistake.

Fixed it.

Why do you support amnesty?  You support a candidate who fights hard for it, then rail against one who stopped his amnesty.  Help me understand, because I'm pro-American, and it's hard for me to grasp your position.

I'm all in favor of border controls but I don't see how we are going to realistically deport 11 million people who are already here

A political mistake, yes. But his fundamental view, the impulse that led him to seek immigration "reform" remains intact.

That's because you've  been brainwashed into thinking deportation is about rounding them up and putting them on a bus.  If you try and think, you might understand it.

Have we ever "deported" this many illegals before?

Don't have to. Romney was right (about this, at least). Enforce the law, and they will self-deport. Only actively deport those that come into contact with law enforcement. Otherwise, no government assistance, no driving privileges, no work authorization and enforce e-verify with prohibitive consequences for employers who violate. The problem will solve itself within a few years.
