You have no idea how liberals here are hopelessly infatuated with the idea of European socialism, constantly pointing out how sad it is that we can't BE LIKE EUROPE.

I think a very important point might be that the countries in Europe are actually distinct, whereas America's states tend to fall in under a more homogenizing template. As the culture goes, so go the states.

When you have a smaller, more autonomous country, you can control things inside it more effectively than in an enormous country like the US.

It's interesting that some European countries have realized the Muslim threat and stave it off, whilst others don't.

Not to mention what I paid for a drink when dining in Oslo. Norway must only have wealthy alcoholics.
It is going to be interesting to see what happens to revenues for the government of Denmark without oil/gas revenues as they completely sell them off. Could the current government of Norway survive without its oil revenues?

It's essentially the same fools errand the left created here with colleges, where a degree used to guarantee a well paying job, but then went about the process of doing two things.
One, was selling degrees, or as in Obozos case, simply creating them out of whole cloth to prop up Marxists.
College became a pay to play scheme, then they watered it down with worthless degrees to prop up minorities, a protected group, be it womens studies or black anthropology, they used govt as a tool to force itself into legitimizing their corruption by creating positions that by law, forced govt to hire them.

Not at Its current size no, Its worth mentioning we have a budget 5 times the size of Finlands . Yet they have no toll Money and denmark has state owned housing with cheaper rent. We spend insane amounts on "culture "+ sick leave  pay etc. Sweden doesnt have as generous of a sick leave system as us , and less people Are "sick" Imagine that? They have issues since they Are taking in the entire third world though. Denmark has insane taxrates.

I dont think this system is sustainable like 50+ years into the future, I really dont.

This country is full of stupid environmentalist too. They want to end our oil revenue, but increase government and social spending, ban diesel cars  , have toll Money EVERYWHERE (everyone is supposed to take public transit, Even sick pwople and old people lol)

Yeah, the majority homeless in Ca is close to 99% drug addled inebriates. Problem is, it was never that way here, but Marxist policy enables it by giving them the tools and freedom to get high and the ability to poop in public without recourse.

That is the reality about the homeless that the Liberals do not want to admit. They are there due to mental issues of drug abuse. You will never find someone that just lost everything near the visible homeless and conservatives and churches have always done everything they can for the down and out due to bad luck. If I lost everything somehow then I would head to the nearest church and they would take care of me and help me locate a job. Homeless shelters in the USA is an industry. Government pays them to fill themselves up. Our local one advertises with in 100s of miles to come to our area.
