Like I said, you can write your own ticket as a private nurse, or easily make well above the median rate in a hospital system.
Expect to make upwards of $100K a year, give or take on how much you want to work.
Pick a State, but keep in mind cost of living, some states are really cheap to live in, others, not so much.

My colleague at work's wife is Head Of NC Hospice.  She makes 200 grand/year, and works from home most of the time.
My kid Brother(RN) makes Hand over Fist.  He works Trauma in  the ER at night, and teaches nursing by day.  Going for his PA this coming year.

Yep, but things may be a bit pricier here.  It all will work to your advantage, I am sure.

Most RNs I know are in the 70s/year, unless in a Metropolis.  They make more, but they have to put up with and spend, more.
Rural Areas don't pay as well, but the people are genuine, and the Life is fulfilling.  Neighbors are more than the guy that lives next door.
