Title: Sheriff's 'politically incorrect' sign draws strong reaction

In an effort to "stir people's belief and patriotism," Harris County Sheriff Mike Jolley posted a new sign Tuesday morning outside of his department that says his county is politically incorrect, and if you have a problem with that, you can leave.

Paid for by Jolley, the sign reads: "WARNING: Harris County is politically incorrect. We say: Merry Christmas, God Bless America and In God We Trust. We salute our troops and our flag. If this offends you... LEAVE!"

Jolly said Tuesday he was tired of the silent majority becoming "more silent."

"It's time for the silent majority to stand up for our beliefs and not be ashamed," he said.

He's received overwhelming support for the sign that cost him $553, he said. He purchased it from D&S Sign Company on Linwood Boulevard in Columbus. Jolley said several citizens have wanted to post one on their property.

Some have even sent checks.

"The sign has been purchased double," he said.

"I'm humbled by all of the support," the sheriff said. "Surprised and humbled by it. Maybe the silent majority isn't going to be silent anymore."

Jolley said he has approximately 75 employees in his office. When asked how those who perhaps aren't Christians may feel, Jolley said "they're more than welcome to worship whatever God they choose fit."

Nevermind, found a couple other shots that don't look fake.  That one just doesn't look right to me.

You mean the shadow of the sheriff and the shadow of BOTH signs was still not enough to convince you? Golly. You must have doubted real Americans think his way.

Interesting observation. That people would be skeptical in a world infested with PC, to suspect fraud when people freely express themselves.
My how far we have fallen, when exercising our First Amendment freedoms is seen as politically incorrect.

I'd construct a sign that states "idiots not allowed", and watch the leftist protest that they're being discriminated against.

Solar that's why I thought the "petition to outlaw the first amendment" was a joke, a sketch comedy with actors. Despite seeing the video with my own eyeballs here, it's still hard for me to believe that American's would sign such a petition, and not tell someone trying to get signatures for something like that to take a hike.

No, stupid people walk among us.

I was debating with a neighbor some time back over the right to having a weapon.
She said what gave me the right to own the weapon I had, I said quite bluntly, the 2nd Amendment, to which she replied "I don't know what that is, never heard of it, but what gives you the right to own a weapon"?

I kid you not, I was completely dumbfounded, felt like I was explaining calculus to a toddler.

Yes, they walk among us.....

Back in my day I would be in first year of High school yet as there were no Jr. High schools at that time.   If I did not know what the 2nd Amendment was.

She is in her 60s, and there is simply no excuse for such ignorance at her age.
High school kids I can understand seeing how they are focused on sex 99% of the time, but not women her age.
She's just an idiot, a lib Bay area transplant and a social climber that hangs out with the rich in my area.

I've known people with Master's Degrees, PhDs, etc.
(in actual scientific fields! - not just libtard basket weaving degrees!)
who are that ignorant of American history and law.

Sometime in the past, perhaps,
a college degree meant that one had some actual knowledge.
Today, in many cases,
it means only that the holder is well-versed in their stupidity!

So because of a shadow, this one must be real too?

I question everything I see on the internet, more people would be better off if they did so as well.  This one didn't look right to me.  I verified and corrected myself shortly after.

Yes, sadly even though they should have learned all this long before college, between the grades 5th through 10th, they were literally brain dead, then go onto college and specialize into fields no one but govt would hire for.

There was a day when these people swept streets and made beds for a living, now govt hires them, pays them three times the prevailing wage of the private sector, in a job created for nothing other than "make work" programs, with supervisory positions over seeing other bureaucrats.

Yeah, it's real, I always check to see if local news has covered it first. I make it policy to triple check this stuff before I post.
Our credibility depends on it.
