Among the regulars on Salem radio, he has been on & off YouTube.  Today he is back live, 12-3 Pacific time. How long YouTube will tolerate him remains to be seen.  His program is titled America First with ...

I wish Dan LUCK with that.   Seriously, I doubt he's going in with the intention of filling Rush Limbaugh's shoes (quite impossible), his style is quite different than Rush - buuuuttttt.... Dan can probably appeal to a younger audience better.

About episode 650 up until 1200?  ago, I was an avid Bongino Podcast listener, had him playing on the service truck radio... until I just got tired of him.   Long on sarcasm & short on humor.  Just sort of hit my limit, had to turn him off.  So, I wish him luck filling 3hrs with *something*...

Probably turned off Shawn Hannity for the same reason - seldom a laughing matter - I just don't like feeling angry & frustrated for 3 hours a day.

Basically down to a handful of Podcasts, in this order of preference:
Blunt Force Truth (Chuck Woolery & Mark Young)  It's Generational.
Cross Roads (Joshua Philipp) best interviews, IMO.
China Unscripted (Chris Chappel) ... funny snarkism + news
Louder with Crowder (Steve Crowder) ... OK... he gets me laughing too!

I'll give Bongino a good listen - hoping he can put together a good research staff and put on a great, entertaining show.   But, I wish him luck.

Hoof, I remember WAY back in 2016 you saw Dan's potential before I did when he guest hosted for Mark Levin.  At the time I liked his message, but hated his delivery.

Heh, guess I had the same attitude about PDJT after he won, I was one of the last here to get on the Trump train, though I was thrilled he won....by February of '17 I was all in

Dan has grown on me quite a bit, I still think he overly explains some of the bits he and his side kick audio guy do (cant remember his name), and some of them he beats to death but all in all he is still along with Steve Deace one of my go to podcasts  I'm still listening to in these dark times before the dawn.

I stopped listening to Rush years ago because of political burnout.  I started listening again after Trump was elected.  My go to for news was Brett Baier and Charles Krauthammer then Tucker.

I will give Dan a listen to see how he does.  Bongino will probably weigh on my nerves like Levin.

No one is expected to fill Rush's shoes. Rush always stayed composed and positive while bringing up insightful angles I had not considered.  It was a nice change when Rush ventured in to other subjects besides politics.  I'm glad I got back on board during his final years.

Yeah, I remember Bongino filling in for Levin - he was bursting with energy!   Kinda outshined Levin!
I *think* .... or hope, the folks at Westwood One will either set him up with a crack research staff, or he'll assemble one bigger than his wife & Joey-bag-of-donuts-guy.

Like you, I've always liked his message ... the delivery wears on me after awhile.

Yup... I burnt out on Levin a few years back...  The only cure is injecting a boatload of humor, and non-political stuff to keep up the entertainment value.  Levin is like a College Professor - you know you need it to grasp the subject matter, but, it's kinda raw going down.

I am like you. I appreciate his passion and patriotism. However, I don't think I could listen to him scream for 3 hours.

Hoofer - I don't have a standing bias one way or the other with Dan, but I feel the same way you do only with three other radio hosts; Mark Levin, Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity.

Mark because his positions always breakdown to him yelling at the radio, and to avoid his (justifiable) anger, I have to constantly vary my volume controls.
Glenn for his emotionally unstable always crying, and his Holy'er than Though, yet self-deprecating demeanor. I've lived in Utah for almost 28 years, and I witness their passive aggressive behavior around their cult beliefs every day,  Glenn magnifies them daily.
Sean because after a couple years with a fighting art, he is the baddest person he knows, plus he berates his female employee, and constantly talks over his guests and callers. I spent 41 years in the martial arts and worked with some big names, and very proficient fighters, not one of which considers themselves a bad ass. I know what I am relative to the martial arts, and or some imagined badassery. I am a student always and first, as such I still get beat up by the girls.

 I don't think i can listen to anyone for three hours. Rush was different, when he was hot I could listen intently for all three hours, and still get work done. When it was an off day, I could have the radio on in the background and still get work down. He was easy to listen to. I could listen with out trying and enjoy the show. Not so much the others, you first have to listen past their ego to hear what they are trying to say. Sure can not get work done with that in the background. What ever is decided, it is time to get it going and move forward and stop morning the loss. We will always miss him.

Sometimes... I appreciate Levin getting all fuming, spitting, thumping *MAD* at current events.
My explanation as to "Dad, why does Levin YELL so much...? was "He loves America, and hates what's happening to it."  - "Oh... I guess I get it."
Ditto on Beck, he wants every program to be a religious experience, make a "decision" today, altar call at the show's conclusion.  I was shocked to hear *any* LDS people considered him a Prophet, smitten and healed several times - called by "god" for *this* time in history to lead them out of the darkness & into righteousness, peace & forever enjoying their freeze dried food & precious metals.
It was hilarious how "Linda" treated Hannity in the beginning - verbally bitch-slapping him around... he's won her over, somehow, she's mellowed with motherhood (or something).

Come to think of it.... With Bongino up against THAT field... meh... he's bound to do pretty good!

Yep, it's not hard to distinguish real news from Fox "shows."  They talk about current events and I pick and choose what I want to research.

FUX has always been an appendage of the GOP Establishment, that is how it started under Roger Ailes, and it never changed. All you get there is the opinion they want you to form, no matter how much you pick and choose, you won't get the whole truth.

First time I heard Bongino speak was at this last CPAC gathering. IMHO, he was by far, the most impassioned and unapologetic conservative speaker at that gathering. A force of nature who's energy was focused exactly where it should have been; ousting RINOs!
This guy has a warriors heart....Luv him!
