Python is classic and widely considered to be comic geniuses, which many of us out there agree. 

Just like the Stooges, WC Fields, Lenny Bruce, George Carlin, Jerry Lewis, Red Skelton, .  These are the masters and are also considered to be comic geniuses, which I also agree.

But hey, we all got our different tastes and opinions.  Me, Woody Allen is considered to be a genius and frankly I can't stand him.

That's how I saw it as well, and I too was toasted.
I was so toasted that when the end came, I thought I had fallen asleep because the paddy wagon was so out of context.
I had to see it a second time, only to find out I was just too high the first time to watch it. :-[

Wouldn't know. I was sober when I saw the few clips I already have, from that troupe.

Don't care for Benny Hill, either, and that dreadful Are You Being Served was possibly the worst export the Brits ever foisted on us. In contrast, the BBC Radio series such as the Goons, Hancock's Half-Hour, and The Navy Lark all had truly funny material.

Gilliam's Time Bandits was so much better than the Python crowd. Haven't seen Brazil yet, but have read many good things about it.
