I agree that he can claw back some credibility, but he'll have to undo the damage of his Gang of Eight blunder somehow.  I do agree that Cruz can appoint him to something, as long as it's not related to immigration.  He also has too much baggage with is finances and past schemes he tried to pull off, so I wouldn't put him in anything finance-related either.

He has some pretty good national security and foreign relations experience. Nothing real high, but below cabinet level.

The thing is he's really sharp, so he could definitely be a soldier in the battle to take back DC, I agree.  There's something about him that I want him to heal his credibility and fight on our side.

Exactly.  Eight years of Cruz as Prez, would be enough to mentor & fine tune a VP Rubio to step in & continue the Conservative rebirth of America.  Very personable guy, but, he's got to prove he can control his impulsiveness.  Jumping in with the gang of eight, I want to think he got suckered by liberals... better to get taken to the woodshed young than as a blithering 70yr old fool.... we got 3 of them running, eh?

I love Marco Rubio, and I think he'd be a great VP. I think he would be willing, because it would be a straighter path to the presidency in 8 years.

But strategically, I'm not sure what Rubio offers Cruz. I know Kasich could bring Ohio to the Cruz ticket. But that's probably all he'd bring.

You make me wanna roll my windows down and Cruz!

Agree, there is potential there. God knows he is way better than the much of the rest of the limp wristers in DC. Great debater...no. Great communicator...I think so. I think this thing just might grow him up a touch more where he needs to be. Hope so anyway...

By the way, I don't want people to think I'm a Rubio fan.  I think he's an anti-American traitor and should never show his face in politics again.  He should go back to being a lobbyist.  My point is he could have been great, and I think in the end, time heals all, and he'd have to go on one hell of a conservative streak for me to ever take him seriously again.  My point is it won't stop me from voting for Cruz, or damper my enthusiasm if he appointed Rubio to something.

And also, Rubio is the reason Cruz is still having to compete so hard.  He could have dropped out weeks earlier and Cruz would be the nominee right now.  He screwed us, and we can't just brush that off.

Hard to say if Rubio even as a base of supporters.

MEH - I think he got suckered, it's hard not to like the guy.

YUP!!!  And, Rubio started the "lyin Ted" business ... you didn't think Trump had an original thought, did you!?   Rubio OWES Ted his delegates for starters, then he can apprentice under the real conservative, learn how NOT to get snookered, ... maybe he'd amount to something.  I'll probably be dead before that happens!

Does anyone think it is possible that Rubio will hang on to his votes until he can see what the outcome will be for giving them to the ultimate winner? God forbid...if Trump does really well and is on the verge of hitting the 1237 and Cruz is far enough back that Rubio's delegates won't help him anyway. Is it possible Rubio gives his delegates to Trump for a position or something?

Based on the interview, nope.  Again, based on the interview, he's probably going to give them to Cruz!
But.... He knew the audience would be relatively small, and conservative - like any smart politician, played to us, quite well.  We'll see what kind of guy he really is, soon enough.
