IMHO, we miss the mark when we overlay prophecy on the western world.  It is about the ME.  Israel is at the heart of prophecy and according to Daniel.... so is the ancient kingdom ruled by Nebuchadnezzar. (Babylonian Empire)

I do believe the false religion mentioned in Revelation is likely Islam.

So, the world has some very bad times ahead!

I'll end my thoughts on this here (it's the political forum), but it is Counterfeit Christianity that is the False Prophet. That's why so many will be easily swayed to follow the AntiCHRIST.  Isl isn't Counterfeit CHRISTIANITY. It doesn't even pretend to be.

The "AntiCHRIST" is he who seeks to "change TIMES & LAWS (that is, the Sabbaths and the Commaments).

Ah-so, at the risk of getting this thread kicked from the political scene I must say one more thing.

Islam is the antithesis to Judaism.  They trace their roots back to Abraham's illegitimate son Ishmael.... just like the Jews trace their roots back to the legitimate heir of Abraham, Isaac.  Abraham is written about in the Quran.  Ishmael was not God's promised seed.  He was the false seed that produced the false religion.

Remember, this is about the Middle East..... not  Christianity.   The Church will be Raptured by then.  The Western world is irrelevant.

That's because you don't understand WHO Israel is in Bible prophecy. The Jews are only ONE tribe of Israel - Judah.  If you think the rest of the world is irrelevant, what about the army of 200 MILLION coming from the east? Most recognize that to be Russia and China. It's certainly not one of the "relevant" tiny countries of the ME.

BTW, "I am Joseph, your brother"-- the inheriters of the Birthright promise.

Thanks, walks.   I will refrain from discussing this further.  I know the rules.  This sort of got off track accidentally.

Syria is a mess.  It's worse than Iraq I think and there are now 8 million displaced Iraqis. 

I still blame a lot of this on Obama, for pulling out of Iraq too soon and allowing ISIS to take hold there.

Yeah, you can't help but wonder whose side Obama is on?  His actions seem to put him at odds with the vast majority of Americans...... but not so much with the muslims. 

I don't believe this was an accidental repercussion of bad policy.  I think it is by design a successful policy for the Commander-in-Chief.

In Sweden the government want to use people's garages as houses for new "immigrants" and in Norway some Hotel owners are working with socialist parties want the government to pay them money to take in thousands of refugees to live in their hotel for government subsidies. Who are the corporatists again?

Noooo, they bring with them a unique culture all their own, (rape, murder) which enhances the old stagnate one created by out of touch white guys.

Eventually, give them guns and send them back, and tell them to take back their country. MAYBE provide some support as long as the oppressed, don't become the oppressors. Otherwise, the Christian West (yeah, I said it), will come in and turn your country into an uninhabitable Sea of Glass!

NOT all of the West is Christian.  So why use "the Christian West"?
