In other words, if you weren't here, there wouldn't be an argument.

Wait: so you discourage discourse?

QuoteThis is a forum for Conservatives, not libs,

So you do not want to actually have to defend your position against liberals?  You designed this board for conservatives to assure themselves and avoid real debate?

Quote
Just because you're too damn stupid to understand basic concepts of human nature is no reflection on others or myself.

See?  The only arguments you have are "basic concepts of human nature", "rightly assumed", "self evident", "obvious".

Nice rhetoric.  Bad logic.

I see no need to convince someone with the logic and debating skill set of a 7th grader whom is completely irrelevant to the forum why my point is valid.
You bring absolutely nothing to the forum. In a debate, both sides generally come to a conclusion that both have a valid point, sadly, you are simply too biased to accept the other sides version, a side that our Founders decided was the correct path.

Point is, the left wants change and damn anyone or anything that gets in their way, you abhor compromise, which is why were in the mess were in, the GOP has been compromising for decades, sometimes on their own volition, others through coercion, but always compromising.

If you were actually honest, you would agree.
With that in mind, debating is about recognizing that the other side has a valid point, something you have never done once, it's your way or the highway.

So you see, your presence is in noway a benefit to the forum.
So why should I let you stay? Make your case.

EDIT: Solar, I sent you a PM, but I don't know if you got it, since nothing's showing up in my sent box.

I would like to challenge you do a formalized, one on one debate on our opposing political views.  You can choose to make the opening statements or not.  We will each be sure to specifically respond to every part of the other's arguments with a well organized, logical coherent post.

You know, like formal debate.  Not mud slinging.

More rhetoric, still no facts.

Wait; you've come to this conclusion?  Show me where you've agreed with a liberal here.  Honestly.

Quotesadly, you are simply too biased to accept the other sides version, a side that our Founders decided was the correct path.

Appeal to Tradition.  Appeal to Authority.  Would you like to espouse more logical fallacies?

That's it!     Now, you're at least presenting a contestable thesis.  You might actually get a passing grade for your 8th grade English essay!

Allow me to rebute: did you know that Obama presented tax cuts for small businesses and 98% of the populace, as well as bills helping veterans of the US military?  Guess why they didn't pass?  The House blocked the bills, simply because they were presented by Obama.

1. You've never acknowledged any of my arguments, hypocrite.

2. You're appealing to the Golden Mean fallacy.  Yet again you demonstrate an inability to grasp the most basic concepts.

Because over the course of my stay, you never demonstrate the willingness to sit down and have a formal, fact based debate with me or any liberal on this forum.

And by this, I mean a formalized argument with clearly defined theses, contentions, and then a point by point rebuttal of the opposing argument with facts and evidence.

You know, you just quote my posts and make rebuttals completely unrelated to my specific logic and arguments.  In fact, I suspect that you will do this now; quote this entire post as though it were one argument, and post something nonsubstantial and completely unrelated to the point.

And I responded:

You assume you are relevant, you're not, I have no interest in what you believe, it's that simple.

Try this, tell the forum why Husein is right in killing our energy production.
The forum believes he's wrong, that is, unless you think he's wrong as well, then it's a moot point.

But the truth is, I have a life and haven't the time to dedicate to one single individual over what it takes to run the forum.

Whatever you wish.  But if you aren't willing to debate me on the facts, don't run around pretending you've shot them down.

Sure thing.  You see, as I've pointed out on various threads (all of which you have run away from), 97 to 99% of climate scientists, and every reputable scientific organization in the world, agrees that climate change is manmade and very much real.

You might not like it, but the long term continuity of our civilization is far more important than short term energy production, and if your tax dollars were ever worth anything, it would be for this.

Now: I would expect you to provide real scientific data to suggest that global warming is a hoax, rather than opinion pieces written by journalists.

What are you talking about?  Do you shun individual, formal debates?  Does it suck that you can't just quote a large block of evidence and dismiss it with some non-substantial rhetoric?

You are completely clueless, we are a forum, you do know what a forum is, right?
It's where everyone has a say, not just two people.
As to global warming BS, it's been beaten to death, look up some old threads, I see no reason discussing something that has become irrelevant since the planet hasn't warmed in a decade.
Besides, Dr Watt explained away your 99% BS the other day.

Oh, and show me where we are going to get the energy we need if we can't drill for it.
Raising the cost of energy 20% is what you can expect next year, that is, if the EPA implements Husein' plan.
But again, debating this whole point with you is a complete waste of time, you've swallowed so much Koolaid that you no longer listen to reason.

I love how you think I'm supposed to trust "old threads" of an online forum more than the entire scientific community.

Including that Michio Kaku you love.

Nuclear power (yes, I know Greenpeace opposes it - they're morons).  Solar and wind energy.  For automobiles, invest more in hydrogen powered cars and other methods of using more environmentally friendly energy sources.

And what happens when we run out of oil?  Or did you think that the keystone pipeline would provide Free Energy?

Hydrogen requires electricity, a Hell of a lot of electricity.
So why is your party/Husein setting road blocks against nuclear plants and killing coal along with stopping drilling for oil on Fed lands and increasing taxes on all natural fuels, including Ng.?
And oil is nowhere near running out for at least a millennium, I think we have plenty of time to find a replacement, or technology to make our own.

Higher unemployment than when he took office, higher energy costs, higher gas prices which translates into higher food costs.
An overbearing EPA, laws killing energy production yet the private sector still managed to produce no matter how hard Husein tried to stop the private sector.
Gave Brazil billions to help them produce energy, but cut our own country's ability to produce, gave billions of our tax dollars to his buddies for his Green energy scheme. (Marxist version of crony Capitalism.)

This is only a tiny portion of his screw-ups, I didn't even mention his move to divide the races.
His plan to fundamentally change America became quite clear when he forced EOs on the country as any good dictator would.

And you fools actually think the American people are so stupid as to have lived in a bubble the last four years?

I believe that 62,003,464 people are that stupid. But, consider this. This is a nation of 340,000,000 people. Barely 18% of our populace has decided who the president for the other 82% will be.

Yawn

QuoteFor automobiles, invest more in hydrogen powered cars and other methods of using more environmentally friendly energy sources.

Good grief! Now he thinks you mine or drill for hydrogen!  You create hydrogen, usually by breaking down water.  That takes energy--usually in the form of electricity (which would be produced with coal, hydro, oil, or natural gas).  Hydrogen is a great way to STORE energy, but it is not used to create it (unless we scoop a bucketful from the sun )

I absolutely think the American people are that stupid. 50% of them that voted for the Marxist are anyway.

How many times have I said on this board and others....never underestimate the STUPIDITY of the American people.

How easy to buy their vote with a few shiney promises.

Yeah, what does Nate Silver know. He correctly predicted all 50 States +DC in 2012, and 49 out of 50 States + DC in 2008. He's correctly predicted 101 out of 102 States/DC in the last two presidential elections.

But what does he know?
