Answer: Resort to juvenile tactics and disruptive behavior.

I'm surprised at Fox News, reporting that "the company continues to be criticized for an executive's comments about gay marriage." The fact of the matter is that the entire transcript of Dan Cathy's interview did not contain the phrase "gay marriage" or even the word "gay" or any other term that might describe homosexuals. While he did make it clear that he takes a fundamental Christian view of marriage, the specific subject of gays marrying never came up once.

In any case, Cathy's retirement portfolio is probably looking pretty good about now. From what I'm hearing, Chick-fil-A restaurants everywhere are PACKED.

Being boycotted by the far left seems to be a pretty good business move.

Gays may not know it, but this entire episode is enormously revealing. So simply saying you support traditional Christian values is an attack on gays? Then the obverse must also be true, gay activism is an attack upon Christianity.

Oh, I think they know it. They can't possibly think that their lifestyle can coexist with any serious version of Christianity.

I think they simply don't care, on the same level that the greens, who also find themselves outside the realm of Christianity, just don't care. They have alternate ways of fulfilling the human need that religion has always served.

Yeah they don't care, but they are revealing themselves to the general public. People might have been willing to take a "live and let live" attitude toward gays, but now they see that them and their Democratic allies, seem intent upon installing some kind of a politically correct police state. I can't believe that some democratic politicians would have been so dumb as to step into the middle of this. That 0 for 38 run should have acted as a warning, no matter what the polls say.

If I were the CEO, I'd order all stores to give a free piece of chicken to each same-sex  kissing couple on that day...but they'd have to share (what the heck, they already swapped spit  :ttoung:)

You can't honestly fall for this semantic game.  "Yeah, we said that we're supporting the Patriots in next week's superbowl - but that doesn't mean we want the Giants to lose!"

I don't support gay marriage, but I don't hate gay people.  Please explain that.

Then you're against gay marriage.  I never argued that you hate gays.  Please, read the person's post I quote before misrepresenting my position.  At least try.

Semantic game? Who's playing this game?

What you're saying is that gays should be able to hatefully criticize anyone they want because they gave an interview, and in it they mentioned marriage, but at no time in the interview were the words "gay" or "straight" or "one man-one woman" or any other mention of a specific configuration of marriage used. You're saying that anyone who professes to believe in the Bible is anti-gay by definition, not by profession, and should be vociferously condemned and boycotted and otherwise socially punished.

You're telling me that you have some special right to vilify someone you've never met for something he never said.

If the man had uttered the word "gay," you'd be screaming from your mountaintop. Since he did NOT utter the word "gay," you are screaming from your mountaintop.

I'd be pleased if you'd just shove your mountaintop up your ass with all your other toys.

You just answered your own question.  Chick never used the word "gay", so nobody can infer from their highly transparent message that they oppose gay marriage.

Of course, if the gay community misinterpreted its position, you'd expect it to have come out and clarified so...oops.

It is hardly incumbent on any individual or organization to "clarify" a position or statement arbitrarily attributed to him/her/it by another. It is rather the burden of the attributor to prove the position of the accused. Gays seem to like to squeal first, and worry about proof later.

Why would Chick-fil-A want to "clarify" anything? Their business is SKYROCKETING! Every report I've seen over the past week talks about lines and crowds and tremendous business volume. The gay attack may be the best thing that ever happened to the company! I'm going into Columbus tomorrow to pick up a few items, but you can bet your ass I'll be swinging by the Chick-fil-A at Sawmill Center for a sammich and some waffle fries. AND I'll salute everybody working there, and tell them WHY I'm there.

In any case, we have a situation where a man gave an interview, mentioned the words "marriage" and "Bible," and was instantly and viciously attacked by the radical left on behalf of the LGBT community. I'm sorry, but that paints the LGBT community the rankest shade of pink. That goes even beyond freedom of speech; we're talking thought control.

A big win for Toledo's Westfield Franklin Park Mall. It's a gorgeous day and after eating, there was a whole LOT of other shopping for other merchants. This line was absolutely joyous to watch. People smiling at having to wait in line. Security folks smiling at how polite everyone was. One woman told us that she knew of people who'd driven 300+ miles to be at this store.
