Much of what T Hunt posted is misdirected and off the mark. What America is experiencing now is a consequence of becoming a luke-warm nation. (Rev.3:16) And because America, whose birth was once widely acknowledged by many of its own Founders as being a nation of Providential selection, there is reason to believe her 'backsliding' may even quicken the time of chastening, because of the vantage point she had. America wasonce was God's best example of "a Christian nation."  She has fallen a long way.

Now, as for "resistance" to what's going on in America now, IMO, the church has a responsibility to be much more assertive than they have been in their actions and voices in claiming their constructional rights. To do otherwise, is to shame the name of Christ, in that their responsibility to defend freedom of speech to proclaim the Gospel and grow the Church.  For the record, IMHO, yours has been a testimony for the good, when it's come to defending that which I've spoken of here. 
There's much to say on this topic, but the religious format would be better suited and more agreeable with admin.
