Paying for Medicare for All
By Dan Joppich
When asked how the Democrats will pay for Medicare for All, the "honest" answer from the DNC CEO, Seema Nanda, was that they didn't know. This isn't actually truthful, because they know what it will take to pay for this monstrosity, and if they admit it, the party will be sent packing come 2020.

The press was willing to give Obama a pass when he lied about ObamaCare to say that "if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor." They looked the other way when he said premiums would go down. The media even took his, Pelosi's, and Reid's word when they said it won't cost the taxpayers a penny.

The $40 trillion truth about Medicare for All funding is that the Democrats can't lie their way out of this reality no matter how deeply the compliant media buries their collective heads in the sand. No number of "experts" can convince enough people to go along with this boondoggle in the making.

Remember, ObamaCare passed by a whisker because the Democrats had complete control of both houses and the White House. Today they may have enough votes in the House to pass something, no matter how crazy, but it won't see the light of day in the Senate.

I expect the House to try to pass this insane idea and when it's shot down in the Senate to scream bloody murder.

I thought most libs believed there were too many people on the planet, one of the reasons they support abortion at Taxpayer expense, so if this is true, why do they support free health care for all, doesn't that goo against what they believe? :rolleyes:

I just like teasing libs over their lack of morality and willing hypocrisy involving the leftist covenants.

I just always assumed it was the death panels the libs wanted. It does follow their health care plan, kill them before they are born, kill them after they reach a certain age. (unless they are on the scotus and voting liberal)

Even the strongest proponents of Medicare for all do not know the true price tag it will carry. When I talk with people about this the argument is always centered around outrage "Everyone is entitled to healthcare?" Or "Don't you care about the people dying due to their lack of health care?" Of course I do. However, this is not the solution to the problem. I don't pretend to have one, but Medicare for all out cost taxpayers trillions of dollars and only make our health care system worse. Health care is important but it shouldn't be a right. The same people sitting on their ass complaining about having no Medicare are the people who should be finding a career that has health benefits. Many companies offer them including my own. What gives?

This is the one thing that drove me nuts about Bernie and no one ever called him out on it. he always used European countries as examples for government healthcare for all. What he never mentioned was the progressive taxes needed to fund it. And, these are countries that have populations of a few million where we have over 320 million. Imagine the taxes needed to give that many people "free" healthcare.

How do we pay for 32 trillion over 10 years? Tax the crap out of everyone.

But let's not forget Kamala Harris also wants a guaranteed income for everyone, Cory Booker wants to each poor kid up to 50,000 to buy a house and Lenin-Cortez wants free college for everyone.

It's pathetic and funny at the same time.

That was classic.

If anyone really wants to see it first hand all they have to do is go to Britain's NHS website, put in a post code and select a doctor or specialty. It will blow your mind.

What's funny when she was talking about how fast it moved if she thought it would be brain cancer, she said "you get your MRI the next day"...  Last time I had to go to the emergency room when I tore my bicep I had an MRI in an hour or so...

Yep. My Brother in law got very sick and needed a brain scan. nearly three months. And he still didn't understand what was wrong with him. If he was in the US the whole thing would have been done in a few hours.

Even the most radical socialists here in the US wouldn't stand for systems like that if they actually had to endure it.

$3T over 10 years doesn't sound so bad right about now...I think we're about to do another $3T bill just for the Coronavirus

Quit trying to do something that is impossible for you to do Joe the lying Troll. The $3 trillion plan is the house demonrat plan that the senate has already said is a non starter. And moron it's $32 trillion over a 10 year period not $3 trillion.

Actually the answer is extremely simple.

1) get rid of the maximum income limit on payroll taxes;

2) reform capital gains taxes such that after the first few million your are taxed at income tax rates. (I actually think the rate should be ZERO for the first few million);

3) place a 2-cent per surcharge on the sale or purchase of all stocks, options or commodity trades. (is 2 cents per 100 share of stocks really an economy killer);  and finally

(4) create a statute that states that we will only pay the lowest price for a Drug in a defined market (such as the cheapest amongst Canada, Spain, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom...etc.

This will will not only fully fund medical coverage for all, but also bolster Social Security.

Would you also remove the cap on benefits paid to participants?[/color][/b]

Why? Taxes hace already been paid on those invested funds?

You really are a liberal.

It is clear you do not believe in capitalism.
