This is happening in ALL fields where physical conditioning tests are given. Gender norming and a "no fail" attitude is gradually weakening our military and other public service fields. I see it everyday in my job.
If Liberal utopian dreams conflict with reality, they always pick the dreams. That's all. I've walked around in a combat zone with all that crap on my back, and I look back on it and can't believe I made it. I can't image some 98lb woman doing it.

Not sure if you were affected with this nonsense, but when I worked for USFS in the early 90s, affirmative action dictated we hire women to fight fires with men, and since they couldn't handle the heavy equipment, they couldn't be hired.
So what did the Govt do? Cut the weight of all materials. Hoses that used to last for years, were made of some really thin crap and weighed a fourth of they used to.
Now those new hoses last maybe two seasons. :cursing:

That is funny, useless effort to change reality to fit the dream which ends up lowering the quality and results.
In Norway we have a Ministry of Equality (Hows that for Orwellian for ya?) and they have been trying for two decades now to change the culture, but the more freedom and opportunity women get the more they choose feminine jobs and jobs historically tied to womanhood such as child caring, hospital work, psychological work etc work that that requires human interaction and empathy. NRK the state owned media channel often send propaganda stories from Africa and Asia where women assume male oriented jobs such as mechanic and engineering work but when approached from quality perspective instead of quanitity statistical perspective uyou see that these jobs in developing countries provide better income security for families than female orientated jobs. but even in quanitity statistical studies you show that the more liberty, more free to choose and better economic security a society achieves the more women seek traditional female work.
The more the left tries to achieve the gender utopian dream it only affirms conservative values with traditional gender results. :laugh: For the left to succeed in creating a 50-50 equal society they need poverty, corruption and disease to be rampant :lol
Speaking as a woman - what about the half that do pass? If I had worked hard and got myself to the point of passing the physical testing I would be pissed if they lowered it just because we are women. And there was a point in my life, in my early 30's, where I was able to do 10 pull-ups no problem.
IMO - If a woman cannot pass the testing that is required for the job then she just shouldn't do the job. Lowering the standards just makes it more demeaning.

if they're that desperate to have body parts removed then they should have at it. This isn't about increasing the pool from which the military can draw personnel. It's all about feminist dreams of women generals - and its almost impossible to reach flag rank, without time in the combat arms. They are quite willing to have a thousand women maimed and killed along the way, if they can just point to that one woman general. Actually I don't give a crap, but the most important thing about the military is the unit - which means that some servicemen are going to get maimed and killed, along with those "superwomen", because they were physically unable to hold up their end.

I've dealt with that when I work as a contractor for the USFS. However, in my full time job they just keep lowering the standards. Problem is if crap hits the fan I may need a female to carry me out. Now how are they going to do that if they have reduced minimum standards to "walk and chew gum at the same time"?

Yep, that was our complaint as well, especially in the terrain we fought fires, it was bad enough as an healthy individual to traverse, let alone someone trying to carry you out.
Yeah, they can cut all the weight they want from the equipment, but you can't regulate the disparity in the weight difference, and strength between men and women.

After threat of lawsuits from toothless fat hillbilly women recruited at the Walmart food bar, requirements for chewing gum were dropped, to allow recruitment of Gummy Babes into the front-line defense forces.
Teaching them to shoot or how to accomplish a single pull-up will come after further input from the same liberal women who themselves would never join a military, even to defend their own families.

Government interference messes up our lives in more ways than I can count.
Just got a new washing machine a few weeks ago. I realized to my horror that it shreds clothes unless it is specifically left on one specific setting. That is what the repairman told me. The government forced private companies to manufacture washing machines that contain specific energy saver devices. This caused the shredding problem and makes machines have a much lower life span. That is sheer insantity.
But doing this to our armed forces is an all out death sentence because lives will be lost. Women are not as strong as men. These idiot Libs cannot deal with the notion. That is how G-d made it. Period. End of story.
