Title: Our new news link site
Post by: taxed on February 02, 2020, 05:20:48 AM
Solar and I just launched  a new news site for news links.  Check it out:

https://news.conservativehardliner.com

We built an aggregator that is pulling from various sources automatically, and we're feeding it manually.  After I do the forum upgrade (should be this week) it's going to pull certain threads from here as well.

We'd really love feedback if you can conjure any up.  The link is up at the top right, so hit it as often as you can and let us know what you don't like or how we can tweak it.

I Love It!!!

Screw the other sites folks, hit this one first, much of what you see on our site, the others won't pick up till the afternoon or tomorrow.

I like that the address lighten up when you have open them.

Why do 14 address have red dots in front and all the other are black?

Except Whatfinger... they're the best, but the others are lagging.  Check Whatfinger and our site.

True, Whatfinger does get most of the latest, but we're far less cluttered.

We're smaller and streamlined by design.  It's amazing how they can fit all the news they do on one site.

Those are the items coming from Solar... they'll stay up there for 24 hours...

Oops, missed your post.
Yeah, these are breaking, Extra Breaking news posts our media will eventually pick up and spin the next day. I get them first and tell you the truth.

What I like about it is it's a place to put links after I read them.  I don't make a forum post with every link I read, but I also don't want to "throw them away" either.  Here I can share them.

I'm liking that more and more......  I like it because I can easily see when new links pop up...

Should you thumbtack this thread for a few weeks so it will be available for awhile?

Thanks Michael, Taxed and I have been working hard on all three sites. Keep checking back, it grabs articles on it's own, I feed it breaking news by the minute, long before the others even hear about it.
There is a slight delay in the site grabbing them, but taxed is developing on a work around so it will be instant.
Book mark it, you'll be way ahead of the game.

I'm actually getting news myself from the site... I read Solar's items, and we also have the machine pulling news from various sources, so these keep popping up with fresh items.

I have Sara Carter, Sharyl Attkisson's special investigations, Michelle Malkin, Jeff Carlson (who owns the SpyGate story), Kieth Koffler for White House daily stuff, Tony Heller, and a few others who are producing fresh news without having to do anything.

For podcasts, we're pulling some EXCELLENT podcasts.  Ted Cruz' podcast took me by surprise with how good and how much meat there is in it.  That's a must watch, no-excuses.

George Webb has been years ahead of all this Ukraine and deep-state stuff, and it's amazing how much information he's amassed and how he's pretty much literally predicted everything that's happening and the players nobody's heard of until now.

Kip Simpson is an excellent source for covering local corruption news.  I just heard in his last one (or before last... the "Democrat Power Couple..." episode that the Dems are freaking out about losing because of all the local Dem arrests.

Rudy Giuliani is another one if you're interested in SpyGate/Ukraine, etc.  He's doing a series right now where he's prosecuting the Bidens with the evidence he has (a bunch we haven't seen yet).  I also have George Papadopoulos' new podcast in there too because he has a lot of meaty stuff.

Good point Taxed.

The red bullet points are the breaking news ones I post immediately, so don't miss the ones below, they too are all new.

Maybe we should categorize them with a color code, then put the color map in a tiny box at the top explaining them?

I just checked a little while ago... under the breaking news items at top (in red), the next 19 were pulled by the machine...  the ADP Moody's was the last one I posted (before the 11 SOTU facts article that I just queued up)...

The thing is, they're good stories/vids!  I would have watched those anyway.....  plus I hit Solar's items at the top and I'm up to speed...

Found a hilarious bug that re-posted duplicate links and drowned out the other news... fixing that.

Writing code on day two of no sleep used to be so much easier in my teens and twenties.  Now.... not so much.
