Billy's bayonet

Did some dgging around on Obama's history of Domestic and foreign spying on friendly powers. This little gem in the UK dailymail implies some members of congress were spied upon re Netanyahu.

Then we have the infamous case of Romney being secretly taped (supposedly by a "waiter".....yeah ) at a fund raiser. This was an illegal taping an no one was ever called on it.

http://www.cnn.com/2012/09/18/politics/campaign-wrap/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

Then of course we have Clapper, who just "denied" and his infamous lies to congress over spying on every single American

https://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2016-11-17/lawmakers-resume-calls-for-james-clapper-perjury-charges

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that likely EVERYBODY who was a candidate in the GOP was taped or spied upon in someway by either Obama or Hillary in an effort to get dirt.

One last disturbing thought, suppose the Kenyan went outside Govt circles to do the spying, say FOREIGN AGENTS were hired to do it?.....Valerie Jarrett, Iran anyone?

He is a Marxist and that is SOP. I quit believing anything Clappers says many years ago.

Oh no.... no one from the US spied on trump - MI6 did it FOR Clapper, Comey, Obama, Clinton - hell, just throw out a name with a "D" behind it.

http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/322553-grassley-probes-fbis-ties-to-british-spy-who-investigated-trump

QuoteIn a Monday letter to FBI Director James Comey, Grassley asked for records pertaining to any agreements the agency may have had with Christopher Steele. The MI6 agent wrote an explosive memo on behalf of Trump's political enemies alleging that the Russians had compromising information on the president.

Comey briefed Trump on the existence of the memo in a private meeting in January.

Shortly after, several news organizations published the unverified allegations, which the White House denied.

In late February, The Washington Post reported that the FBI reached an agreement with Steele whereby the British spy would continue his investigation on behalf of the bureau.

Sounds like a piglet stuck in an electric fence - squealing, "Drop it, please drop it!   Tell the DOJ to drop it!!!"

I'm still guessing that valerie jarrett moving in with obama has something to do with all of this. This little flare up can kill obama's legacy and the future of the dim party.

Billy's bayonet

Then a day before Trumps Inaugural the NY Slimes releases this gem trying a last minute attempt to derail his Presidency.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/19/us/politics/trump-russia-associates-investigation.html?partner=rss&emc=rss&_r=0

Although the FBI sources are unnamed, it is apparent that "communications were intercepted" as part of an investigation.

Anybody who knows how the FBI operates understands that wire taps and electronic surveillance are how they run an investigation.

I think it's his legacy that's destroying the future of the Dim party.

As long as the media adores Hussein, his legacy will not be trashed.

Smoothed-over, rewritten, sliced and diced and shake-and-baked...but not trashed.

Which means nothing. The media is not and never has been the final arbiter of what the people decide, that's left to historians and the conquerors.
Times have even gotten worse for what was once considered the media, now, no one individual controls the narrative.
Look at Bill Clinton's legacy.

Controlling the narrative is more subtle these days, and apologists within the media remain deeply embedded. It is not pretentious nor untruthful to flatly declare that although bias is pandemic within our media, it is ALSO (in any age, any country) the first draft of history being written. That first draft unfortunately need not even be entirely factual to exist, to later be analyzed by historians...but nevertheless it is still history and the earliest control over the narrative.

I'm not comfortable with that. The Associated Press has always leaned left and its stories remain the basic stuff of news feeds to AP clients at newspapers and other media. Here I speak from roughly eight years' experience.

I've been a rewrite man at both radio and newspapers (plural) and I came to see AP and its much-more-blatant sister UPI both strut out blindingly obvious leftist agitprop, focusing only on Republican "sins" and not the Donks'. It wasn't news, it was bias.

I repeat: Obama's legacy will be written (and RE-written) in stages over time until almost anything he or his subordinates ever did or thought about will all be shrugged off like reports of Nixon roaming the halls.

The true damage his regime did will be reported in some federal document the media studiously downplays. Snopes will publish 87 photographs, 16 PDFs and 4,013 individual affidavits trying to disprove the document (if it ever does become public) but Snopes will never disprove a thing, just leave a bad taste in everyone's mouth --- and discredit the report in the bargain.

If I were to do a search for information on political races of the 19th century, I most certainly would be relegated to opinions of the press and little else.
But that was yesteryear, today everyone has power of print via electronic press, and any historian wanting to get a true feel for the people of the time will not start, nor stop with the press, they will venture into blogs and forums to find out what people were really saying about the issues of the day.
In fact, I'm submitting this forum to the National Archives for the preservation of TEA political opinion for future historians.

Are you trying to say there are people out there stupid enough to think everything they say and do on the web disappears over time?

In 1984, George Orwell imagined a future where
everything people say and do is monitored by the government.
His novel didn't address how the government
would manage to evaluate THAT MUCH data.

Today, the government has put in place
thousands of computers to automate that job.
The computers look for key words and phrases
to flag information to be looked at further by humans.

The government says that all the information is just being archived,
and does not get examined by humans
without a search warrant.

Here is a website about the data center where all this is done:
https://nsa.gov1.info/utah-data-center/
The website itself is a parody of nsa.gov
("If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear.")
It contains in the left column,
and distributed throughout the text,
links to real stories about the data center.
