I'm more concerned with Romney failing to undo each and every decision made by Hussein. That and jailing as many of those worthless trash as can be done in four years, dealing with a racist DOJ determined to sell us to our muslim enemies.

I think the national debt CAN be paid down, but not eliminated. It's simply too huge for any one four-year presidential term.

Obama won't even try, having contributed about $1 trillion of that total debt, and, additionally, based on his desire to blow even MORE money on useless federal spending projects such as the one John Corzine just got let go from being responsible for.

Is there room for cuts in federal spending? You bet! I'd hire "Chainsaw Al" Dunlap, corporate downsizer extraordinaire, and go after the thousands of U.S. Government employees earning $100,000+ in salaries alone (much less additional perqs).

Cut our federal payroll in half, wipe out pensions for the parasites, and put the remaining slugs on a pay-as-you-go IRA or other retirement system---with ZERO "employer contribution."

To be quite honest, I don't think anyone could in four short years, but I do think they will start chiseling away at it.
What is more important is that they undue the damage the left has done in such a short time, so the country can once again prosper.

Pensions are what the individual does. I have always opposed pensions for taxpayer-supported jobs (just as I oppose government unions which bleed taxpayers dry).
