I've posted articles all last summer on the ongoing slaughter in Chicago, on several weekends a dozen people or more, mostly young black men, were shot.

I guarentee you the body count is waaayyyy over 27....what was done?

where was the outrage?

Young black men killing other young black men, usually with guns, is nothing new....but the left ignoring of this issues is just another example of their hypocracy.

Tens of thousands die in traffic accidents every year and it doesn't make national news, but if a plane carrying 150 crashes, THAT'S NEWS.

What you're pointing out isn't really racially motivated, they just don't report individual cases nationally the way they would a school shooting. And that does seem to be an affluent white problem.

As Darth pointed out, most have been on psychotropic drugs, and rather than a good kick in the ass, they get coddled by counselors with a two year degree.

I beg to differ sir, I beleive it is racially motivated.

The media doesnt want Chicago to "look bad" after all that is Obamao's home turf.

Also if they report on the slaughter of young black men by young black men, people might get the' wrong idea' of young black men to the media's way of thinking.

I mean we can't have people connecting vicious gangbangers and innercity turf wars with black/hispanic minorites  who are the overwhelming perpetrators....that just wouldn;t be politically correct.

Its like we can't call people terrorists or say middle east terrorists because people might get the 'wrong idea about middle east people.

To me ignoring these facts are the worst type of racism.
 

It's our fault of course, a devious plan to rid the inner city of undesirables.  This crazy talk about gun control is going nowhere but to the file cabinet with the sticking drawer, they don't have any authority to mangle our bill of rights or constitution and I feel pretty sure any attempt to do so or make an end a round will find it's way in a federal court if not the supreme court.  All we have to do is keep an eye on what they try and make sure our elected representatives are aware we are making them responsible for the outcome, unless of course it get's mucked up in court, then we try something else.  Who would ever believe our constitution would be under direct attack by a kenyan.  I know within reason what it says, so that of course makes me an undesirable, an enemy of the left.  What we need is a good old fashioned brawl in the middle of the street, last man standing wins and we take the country back to where is should be, wonder how many of those poofs will show.

Now that is not true! Mayor Rahm (Deadfish) Emanuel gave those gang bangers a stern talking to. He told them specifically not to have their shoot out near schools. And, if they did not heed his warning he would get very, very angry!

I guess most of our cities are having their meetings tonight.  Ours was televised tonight and present was the host , sheriff chuck Wright, WORD radio talk show-Gallagher, School district 5-James Brynnes High School super, and a local shrink.  All of them agreed that guns should not be banned but certain types of firearms were never supposed to be in the hands of citizens.  Schools should be policed as well.  Stricter evaluation and remedy for trouble makers or potential risks.  The shrink said that she would prefer that this burden not be placed on the teachers.  She was my guess as to the liberal in the bunch for saying this.  When most of our last 2 decades of teachers were getting their teacher's degrees, who, if any of them, would have guessed what teaching involves now?  Teachers are not JUST teachers anymore.  They are subbing in many different roles now, thanks to our very liberal government.  They may as well strap on a gun and take some very aggressive gun toting courses.

  We, at the state level, can come up with alot of measures to make our schools safer but it may take a little financial help being reinbursed to the states to train and provide safety aspects to what our state claims is an overburdened and underfunded school system.  Of course our teachers got a raise this year with all of our financial woes in each school.  Why, pray tell, was a raise granted to one of the most underachieving state school systems?  We can't get it right on nothing, too many chiefs and not enough indians.

   Sheriff Chuck Wright could get it right, as far as the criminal element is concerned but he can't do everything.  There just isn't enough of him to go around.  We've got one high school principal, Dr. Laura Jones at Dorman High School, Dist. 6, Sptbg., SC, that knows what she is doing.  I subbed at Dorman for her for 2 yrs. and she runs that school like a well oiled machine.  She seems to be everywhere at the same time, on top of her game, but again, she is only one of a few.

  To me , the folks that do well in their professions are the ones who strive to do the best they possibly can in the careers they have trained to do in life.  Governments do everything they can to undermind the first responsibilities of teaching.  First, we should try to get our families back to God-fearing situations and our children back to respecting their elders and persons in authority.  The authoriities should be beyond reproach so as to foster respect and this goes for parents too.  All of this goes along with treating others as you want to be treated.  Anyway, this is far reaching.  It took a long time for our nation to land in the gutter it's in, so nothing will be done overnight to turn this mess around.  Doing nothing is unacceptable.  Banning guns is also unacceptable.  My vote is for more responsibility, stiffer penalties for criminals, especially the ones who target children,  Mandated training in safety in all public buildings, curfews for school age children, reevaluation and recommendations on sale of gaming to school age children, restrictions on media entertainment.  This list is not entire, some of it may seem harsh but our nation is out of control so the remedy must be rather harsh.  Big Government is, well, too big and needs to be cleaned out of those that would make us any weaker or more vulnerable than we have already become.

The media has never shown any reluctance to report on black crime. However when something becomes commonplace it ceases to be news. Gang bangers blowing each other away, is too regular an item to arouse the public's interest. It's only when an innocent bystander is hurt, does it rise to the level of news. Likewise, unless it's really spectacular, or it's of local interest; the news doesn't report on car accidents either.
