Four years ago, then candidate Obama made a campaign stop at Raymond James Stadium. The whole affair was typical 2008 Obamamania, with a huge crowd. Traffic was a headache, more so for those, like me, who live near the stadium.

Today, Obama made a campaign stop accross the street from RJS, at the gym of Hillsborough Community College. About 3,000 people attended.

I graduated from HCC, and though I never saw the gym, I'm pretty sure it's on the B list of possible campaign venues in Tampa. As BB King says, the thrill is gone.
