Schooling was one of the things we talked about before getting married.  She had private schooling until college.  I had publice schooling and no college.  We both said private schooling would be for our kids.  It was worth the money for all three kids.

The nationwide lockdowns may lead to a bigger shift in the way American families do school. A new RealClear Opinion Research poll of 2,122 registered voters reveals a big increase in parents who might keep homeschooling their children after the pandemic ends, and many more support having educational choices.

he poll shows that 40 percent of families are more likely to use homeschooling or virtual school education after lockdown restrictions are lifted. And 64 percent support having the choice of a public or private school, according to The American Federation for Children.

Even though my grandchildren are in a classical Christian private school, the parents are considering home schooling this coming year.  My youngest has been homeschooling his kids for about 2 years now.  VERY well adjusted social kids.

Home schooling is the most effective way for American families to regain control of what's really essential for the wellbeing and futures of their sons/daughters.
In this day and age, keeping 'garbage out' has become almost as important teaching them what's necessary and true.

If there ever was a seismic shift in the number of families deciding to stay the course on a homeschooling curriculum, it would be a HUGE factor in the salvation of America's Republic. I would liken it to a generation coming out of a wilderness; armed with the knowledge and realization of what America once was, and is meant to be.

Don't know much about home schooling  but what about the activities like Sports, Interest clubs "etc" if one chooses to home school their kids?? Just asking because I don't know?

There's all kinds of groups one can join aside from govt schools. Not to mention, most people aren't aware, many of these kids are in groups, like 8 or 12 kids being shuttled between homes where parents take turns depending on subject matter.
My neighbor had her two boys in a group of 10, and all the parents shared in teaching differing subjects, one neighbor has a 1000+ acre spread, they played all kinds of sports, including kayaking on the lake and target practice, gun and bow both.

It's not what most envision, where one parent is stuck with just their own kids. This is what schooling used to be about, where 6 year old kids mixed with 12 year old kids.
