This quoted one is the Eastern leading edge on the northern side of the fire here on HWY 50 into Tahoe.

The one I'm posting below is the same Eastern front on the Southern side of the fire almost 10 miles apart, a 10 mile wide front of the fire.

This is a live view, by the time many see it, the lookout will probably be engulfed in flames.
It's almost 6:30 PM West coast time, the sun is that tiny dot in the smoke.
The image from the camera is looking Westward at the flames just about a mile away.

I swear, it's become so blatantly obvious, the left wants this distraction.
They want people focused on everything but the chaos and destruction they're creating unconstitutionally. Yes, this was all preventable, but when peoples lives and livelihood are threatened, they aren't interested in blaming anyone, they want the fires out.

Nucellini was given a $150 million Bill to sign that would have allowed us to start the process of cleaning up of the forests of dead timber, (though just a drop in the bucket), it would have been a good start.
He was handed the bill during two major fire outbreaks underway, and the very day this fire started, the Caldor fire, he refused to sign the Bill.
 
Can't wait for Elders to takeover.
 

Almost over the crest, then it's all free sailing from there, and there won't be anything to stop this fire.
Winds tomorrow and Tuesday, only rain can put it out.

My wife and I spent a week at Tahoe a few years ago and love it. We drove from Folsom and the scenery was spectacular. It's sad to see it all go up in flames, destroyed by the stupid politicians.

Yep, if you remember the drive past Pollock Pines, all that forest is now destroyed all the way to the summit.
Remember cresting the summit and looking North down on Tahoe in the distance Northward? Everything in front of you and to the South is about to burn.

HWY 88 is due East from the summit, a straight view ahead as you came over the mountain, they've already started dozer lines down there, and closed 88.

I said when I started this thread that it would hit the Tahoe area, and it is. You can't stop these fires, only nature can end it by rain.
The main focus has been structure protection as the fire races through.

You have labeled it accurately, it is a distraction from the unconstitutional destruction that Dems are inflicting on the nation. While this is going on, the news media isn't asking any questions about Hunter, sleepy Joe, election fraud, the U.S. borders, Afghanistan nor the thousands that the Taliban will blatantly kill. It would not surprise me if it was the Dems who started or paid to start the fires as a distraction.

"Still Under Investigation", so goes the claim. From what I remember, it started in two separate places, about 300 yards apart.
That screams arson!
We have satellite tech that spots these incidents immediately, so the evidence is available, but we all know they'll never release it and expose themselves.
