Since the DEA Administrator Michele Leonhart has been forced out of office by Congress, the new replacement is coming from the FBI.  He has been the Chief of Staff at the FBI and some people believe that he will be a good addition to the DEA.

He begins his new job on Monday.

FWIW, the entire incident about the DEA Agents who were involved in a sex party in Columbia funded by the drug cartels, it happened 12 years ago!

Isn't it strange that it is just now gaining national attention?  Michele Leonhart was not even at the DEA helm 12 years ago.  However, it was made public during her tenure.  Who made it public?  You guess!

Could be that it was a needed distraction for this Administration.  They have a history of leaking sensational information when needed.

Big Deal. So the DEA's new director will be from an FBI that was compromised under Holder and which I expect will remain compromised under Lynch.

Just because Holder is in charge at the DOJ doesn't mean that all DOJ employees are bad seeds.  Some actually have a conscience!...... and do not like Holder!!!

They may not like Holder or Lynch, but even the one's with a conscience will still follow orders.

Michele Leonhart did not follow orders when it came to drug law enforcement.  Holder did not like that a bit!  Now she is gone.

Not EVERYONE follows bad orders.  Some times they fake it.

The shorter Obama's time is, the more bold the rank and file will become.

The very mission of the DEA is at odds with Obama and Holder's belief about drugs!  She was in a no win position.

However, FWIW, I do not believe Leonhart was an effective leader.

I did not say EVERYONE follows bad orders. I said that even those with a conscience will still follow orders. If they want to 'fake it', they do it at their own peril.

It will be interesting to see how effective a leader Rosenberg turns out to be if he has to cross swords with Obama and Lynch.

There is much he could do without them ever knowing about it.....   just sayin'

They cannot look over his shoulder all the time.  He is probably a lot more intelligent than Michele.

IMO...The DEA needs to be disband never to exist again with a whole lot of folks in prison for the rest of their lives.

The blood of Brian Terry speaks volumes why the DEA needs to be a goverment agency of the past. A lot of people are dead because of them.
People sleep peacefully at night because there are a few tough men prepared to do violence on their behalf.

A foolish man complains about his torn pockets.

A wise man uses it to scratch his balls.

Do you realize they do almost as much work in the realm of abuse in the legal sphere of drugs?  They strictly monitor the prescription drug industry.  Do you want the nation literally flooded with drugs without accountability?

It is NOT all about illegal drugs.  It is just as much about legal drugs!

The blood of Brian Terry in on the hands of Eric Holder...... not the DEA!

The only people dead because of the DEA are law breakers!

The DEA does a good service to all America.  Without them the Nation would be a lot more dangerous.

I don't know of any WH employee that I trust at present.  2016/2017 shouldn't be hard to remember as far as notable events.  That time period would or should be known first by the enormous house cleaning of the WH.

Holder was the leader of the gang called the DEA. He gave the orders while the DEA followed through with them like puppets and went to sleep peacefuly at nightime. The blood from their actions will last a lifetime. Them weapons that walked into the killers hands was a very sad event.

ALL federal law enforcement agencies serve under the AG.  The Fast and Furious operation was not perpetrated by the DEA.  It was an ATF operation.  There is no blood on the hands of the DEA.  And Brian Terry was with the Border Patrol.

Get your facts right!
