Donald Trump threatens 'rough July' if RNC doesn't 'straighten out' delegate system

Now why would he threaten, when he has absolutely nothing to threaten with?
Because he's setting the stage to bailout and blame the election was stolen, mark my word.

QuoteSYRACUSE, N.Y. — After a week of crying foul against a "rigged" delegate process, Donald Trump addressed the Republican National Committee by name at his first of two New York rallies on Saturday.

Threatening a "rough July" if the RNC doesn't "get going and straighten out the system," Trump said he was really saying it all for the people. "I guess I'm complaining because it's not fair to the people," Trump admitted, later adding, "The people want their vote ... They want to be represented properly." The threat comes a month after Trump told CNN that he thought there could be "riots" at the Cleveland GOP convention this summer should the establishment push for a brokered convention.

"You better get going," he warned the RNC by name to cheers from the crowd of a few thousand people.

Or what, Mr Tiny Hands Stompy Feet, gonna hold your breath?

QuoteDonald Trump has spent a good deal of time whining lately about the Republican delegation process. Like it's something new, or something he didn't know about. If it's such a surprise to him why was he tweeting about it in 2012? He had a lot to say about Rick Santorum's "inept" campaign operation when it came to winning delegates. He didn't bother going to Wyoming or Colorado, then whines about how unfair they are.

If he really wanted to win the nomination outright wouldn't he be fighting for every delegate out there? If he really wanted to win wouldn't he be building up his campaign organization in every state to help win the general election? He's firing people when he's finished with a state. That's not something someone who wants to win does.

Is he hoping he will lose at the convention so he has an easy out and can claim he won only to have it "stolen" from him by those horrible establishment people he has spent his life supporting?

Why has Trump, despite obvious deficiencies in his campaign, really made no changes other that bringing in Paul Manafort, who hasn't done jack-shit in GOP politics, other than cash random checks as an "adviser," since 1980?

I tend to agree with you. I do believe he is looking for an out and the delegate situation is very convenient.

How would Trump look being beaten by a woman to his business world.

This reminds me of the time he sued Ted Cruz and spilled the beans on Heidi

And to perfect Donnie SOP, he was completely OK with the rules for Santorum.

He's also perfectly okay with the rules favoring him - 36% of the vote, 47% of the delegates.

He actually said he's fine with the states he won.  I heard it, so it's out there, but I can't remember what event it was.  He literally said that.

It would be cool if he lit his hair on fire for effect to start the riot. Not real bright...but very cool!
You make me wanna roll my windows down and Cruz!

His fuse will run out by time July comes around.

You'd think so but his ego is the factor nobody can ignore here. I believe they'll have to pry it from his (figurative) cold dead fingers on Day 3 of their convention.

maybe Trump is right.  There are rules but, the rules are rigged.  What happened to the voice of the people?

gandb77

one further thing.   Do you really think that the republican party will let the nomination go to Cruz.  These same rules, plus any necessary changes, will put Kasich or some other party choice in the slot.  All this while Trump and Cruz knock each other out.
