I watched it in its entirety. I really like this judge. The witness came off not only as credible, but made Rittenhouse look like a Saint in the process. :thumbup:

I haven't been watching the trial, only getting people's reactions, and I'm getting two very different versions from people here and from various legal minds on social media. A lot of people think the defense is inept and could put Rittenhouse in serious peril of conviction, and that there's a good chance the jury is tainted. Everyone seems to agree the prosecutor is a manipulative snot.

My guess? Focus groups ripped both sides, Defense wasn't appealing, while prosecutor came off as an arrogant prick.

You'd think an elected district attorney would personally handle one of, if not THE, largest and most significant criminal cases in his county's history. But, no, Kenosha County DA Mike Graveley has been completely MIA on the Kyle Rittenhouse case.

He pawned the case off to his unfortunate assistant district attorney, Thomas Binger, who was left to spin gold out of a pile of self-defense straw. It was clear from the start, and it's still clear today, that the prosecution has NO COHERENT argument to counter the Rittenhouse defense team's self-defense claims. None whatsoever.

We wrote Graveley and asked him why he didn't prosecute the case himself. He didn't respond.

We think the answer is clear: The case had loser written all over it from the start, so Graveley let his underling take the fall. The charges were NEVER justified by the facts of the investigation; they were a bone tossed to the mob that had just burned down parts of Kenosha, and the media, which had already constructed a false narrative of Rittenhouse as a white supremacist card-carrying militia member (there is no evidence of that). It was appeasement, not justice.

In fact, it's not even clear what the prosecution's theory is, other than to throw so much at the jury that maybe, just maybe, they will think, we better convict Rittenhouse of something. But that's not the law.

You could be right but  usually the defense only  puts the defendant  on the stand  because they need to throw a "hail mary". Based  on what  i have read here the  trial has gone well for them and  i can only see  bad things coming from this.

imply some form of guilt. The Judge even mentioned that was a Constitutional issue, the attorney
wanted silence to imply guilt. In fact, reading the questioning on the stand, the attorney tried
with each question to "insert words in the defendant's mouth", the young man has been well prepared by his attorney. I am assume when Rittenhouse was arrested, he refused to respond to
any questions without his attorney present, and when he was present, he still refused to answer
the questions of the States Attorney.  Fifth Amendment applies, due to that the prosecution has
no "he said" evidence, or history to fall back on. I think the ADA's Depends are now hanging down around his knees.

I think it ended  up being a  big  mistake to put him on the  stand.

Not at any time in this trial did I think the prosecutor was looking for justice. IMHO the prosecutor has committed bigger crimes thru trying to get a witness to change his testimony, withholding evidence, stomping on constitutional rights than Rittenhouse did. I would like to know how many of those who were rioting and destroying buildings has the prosecutor had in court to answer for their crimes. Rittenhouse shows why the second is needed. Not only for self defense, but also for those willing to get out of their comfort zone and help their neighbors against those who wish them and their property harm. Rittenhouse would be looked upon with favor by the founding fathers.

Prosecutors at the Kenosha shooter trial have admitted that 'a reasonable jury or juror' could acquit Kyle Rittenhouse on the most serious charges that he faces.

Last year we had it out with someone on this forum who was INSISTING that the law was clear that kyle could NOT have that gun, and we kept pointing out that the law is instead clear that there is a loophole for 16 and 17 year olds. This has finally vindicated our position here.

I just watched the video of the reading of the verdict.  Poor kid nearly blacked out.  He recovered quickly. 
A few minutes later he stood up and quickly walked to the front of the courtroom and left the room.  No one blinked an eye of surprise, so I assume someone unseen by the camera had beckoned him.

Is this typical for an acquittal in Wisconsin?  Or did they just whisk him away to protect him?

The DNC is Dead, that's pretty obvious to everyone now, but then, they were never really the problem on their own, they needed help.

And as you guessed, the GOP was always there to bail them out, all by design. (Snatching Defeat From The Jaws of Victory) As was always part of the plan.

Over the decades the Marxists took over the DNC, but to solidify their entrenchment they needed an ally, they needed a voice in what many think as the dissenting party in the GOP.

So slowly they took root with the likes of Romney, Justin Amash, Jason Chaffetz, Susan Collins and the list is long so I won't bore you, but suffice it to say, these are all Dims in the GOP with the goal of enriching the left and advancing Socialism/Communism.

I digress, one of the reasons I'm writing this is to expose one simple fact, our real enemy is the GOP (I've been writing about this for years), we need to take it over and for the first time in its history, make it a Conservative party, one that actually upholds our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Point is, we've won, or have we? If we don't stand strong on Conservative principles and demand RINO be replaced, we're back to square one.

As I've written in the past, the RINO were notorious for flooding any given ticket with losers on the Right, they'd run about 10 candidates to water down the ticket, while in the mix was one very viable Conservative and the RINO pick, say a Romney sitting quiet on the sidelines.

The RINO would set up three debates, the first two were designed to weed out the Conservative via ludicrous attacks and forcing the Conservative to spend money they didn't have, in the end they're out of the race leaving individuals who never had a chance in the first place.

This would leave us with but one choice, a solid leftist running against known Marxists.

So what did the GOP pull off? They forced us into a bad or worse situation, either elect the Dim, or a RINO, the least of two evils.

However, those days are over, there won't be a Dim running with a snowflakes chance in Hell of getting elected, and the GOP won't be able to scare us into supporting their leftist candidate.

So what's it going to be come 2022, are you going to allow the leftist GOP force you into compromise, or will you stand strong on principle and vote Conservative down the ticket?
