Muslim Profiling Isn't Illegal, Unconstitutional, or Un-American

I. Limiting or even prohibiting immigration by Muslims is not illegal
II. Considering religion as a factor in formulating anti-terror policy and tactics is not necessarily unconstitutional
III. Profiling — which is widely supported — can hardly be considered to be un-American

I. Limiting or Even Prohibiting Immigration by Muslims Is Not Illegal

Current federal law [Title 8, Section 1182 of the U.S. Code, the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952] gives the President legal authority to suspend — by a simple proclamation, and without any action by Congress — the entry of "any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States [who] would be detrimental to the interests of the United States," and to do so indefinitely.  President Obama has in fact already used this power.

This existing statutory grant of authority to the President, and to those to whom he may delegate this power, is very broad, and a very recent Supreme Court decision held that he could withhold visas on national security grounds without providing any reason at all.  Thus, even without any action by Congress to give him additional authority, it is likely that the President could at least temporarily ban immigrants who are Muslim.

The thing about laws is, the left tries to make everything dishonorable by making it nonPC, like using the term terrorist, or radical leftist, those terms are in no way illegal, but the Dims refuse to use them when speaking of the tactics of our enemies, no instead, they target true Americans as "Extremists", people that refuse to accept their corruption.

At the prison I used to work at we profiled all the time. Funny story, one day we had what they called "Muslim Services" where all the Muslims get together and have prayer meeting. We were required to search them each time they were done, not because they were Muslims but because they were convicts. So I did. Now there guys were all black and took exception to me searching them. Several claimed I was doing it because they were Muslim. To which I relied, "No, it's because you're black." They actually laughed.

I am trying to understand why you feel it is racist or bigoted?  We have groups within the Muslim culture that want to wipe out western civilization; primarily white Christians.  So, who are the racists and bigots? If profiling saves the lives of white Christians then you are free to label me a racist bigot.  A line needs to be drawn somewhere, we cannot continue to allow people who hate us from areas with known terrorists into this country. That is nothing more than pure lunacy.  I for one (and I'm probably going to catch a lot of flack for this) believe until we secure our borders, have the ability to recognize and enforce existing immigration laws, and get a grip on who's entering our country we should suspend ALL immigration into this country.  I don't see it as being racist or bigoted at all, I see it as preserving our country.

Secondly, those Muslims that are coming in as 'refugees' are eligible to apply for citizenship within a five year period AND they also can apply within a two year period to have family members brought in.  Do the math.  If we allow 10,000 refugees in per year and each of them brings in their spouse and at least 1 child we are looking at a minimum of allowing double that amount. We allow them to build mosques, practice their religion  (take a look at Hamtramck, MI)  and they want Sharia law to override U.S. law.  Again, when does it end??  We are going to allow an entire counter-culture to take over our culture?? Why?  It needs to stop and it needs to end period.
