McCarthy plans to say that the two chairs have uncovered enough information that necessitates the House formalizing the impeachment inquiry in order to obtain the Bidens' bank records and other documents.
It remains to be seen whether there are 218 House Republicans who'd vote to authorize an impeachment inquiry. Several moderate Republicans — including Reps. Ken Buck (Colo.) and Don Bacon (Neb.) — have been skeptical of the need for an impeachment inquiry. So McCarthy will have to really work this vote if that's the direction he wants to go.

As I see it the GOP and McCarthy are in a real pickle here. If the House goes through with impeachment he will never be convicted in the Senate. Even if the House committees have the goods on Biden the current DOJ would never pursue the charges. Our primary hope is that the media is finally embarrassed to the point they have to report it and all of the American people are aware of the corruption. It is frustrating.

I see this as more of a distraction than anything else. We have the evidence of global crimes, we could literally bring the DNC/GOP up on Sedition charges, expose them to the world, but the Establishment took this route?
