Robert Gibbs was Dear Leader's White House Press Secretary from January 2009 until February 2011, a two-year span during which he almost daily defended his boss' steadfast refusal to release personal information, including a copy of his birth certificate.

Over the weekend, Gibbs was interviewed on CNN by Candy Crowley, and when prompted to talk about the current manufactured "controversy" over Mitt's tax returns, his response was priceless:
Quote"Again, put the tax returns out. Put this whole thing to rest. Candy, have you ever seen anybody go to such great lengths to not put something out? And when you generally don't put something out, isn't it because you're generally hiding something? I've never seen anybody jump through more hoops to... not put out a document that would prove what the real truth is."
There's more and video at RCP... if you think you can stomach it.

Jaw, meet floor.  I just can't understand the blondes the left uses.  Methinks they all need to pull theirs heads out of their "happy places" once in a while and join reality.  A real reporter would have made him look like the fool he is by pointing out what he did in his tenure at the white house.  The media is becoming s bigger and bigger joke by the day.

Here's a question: I've seen varying accounts of what it has cost to obscure Dear Leader's past, especially to keep his BC under lock and key for years. All the estimates are in the millions of dollars, most between $2 million and $3 million. Who paid for that?

I wish I knew.  Apparently being a "communtity organizer" paid pretty well.

If I had to make a guess (and I know how much y'all don't like speculation) I would bet it was a campaign expense.  Their may have been no campaign but for the sealing of these documents.

Or, in the case of unsealing the Ryan divorce records, getting into serious politics to begin with.

Good point! I think Dear Leader won both his early elections by smearing his opponents literally out of the race by somehow finagling access to sealed records. If anyone should understand the value of keeping certain things under wraps, it's Dear Leader, ringmaster and gatekeeper of The. Most. Transparent. Administration. EVAH!

If he can get documents unsealed, why can't we?

While we're at it...................I'd like to see Michelle Obama's tax records from the years of her token hospital job, ($300,000+ per year), along with the hours that she actually worked.

Best o'luck, with Obama relying on federal privacy laws (the same as any private citizen could also do). If the legal situation (or the media) got any more protective of corrupt ideologues like Obama, I simply can't imagine how that would look like.

That has probably already disappeared down the memory-hole, just like Obama's mother's passport records (which might show where Obama was at the time of his birth).
