Abbott has been an effective Governor, but not a good one, Texas needs to elect an actual Conservative, one that shoots first, and never questions his decisions.

Our best hope to elect a conservative governor is Trump. But that will be tricky, Abbott is very popular, and if he gets caught on camera shaking Trump's hand he will be hard to beat. If he gets caught giving Trump a hug, he will be unbeatable. I will vote for Allen West in the primaries, but will probably vote for Abbott in the election. I can live with that. I can not live with rino Cornyn, have to put up with him for five more years. I wish Texas was as conservative as people think it is.

Yeah, I know what you mean. On the outside Abbott looks like a conservative, but in fact, he's a coward.
Everything he does has been run past think tanks, focus groups and lawyers.
He's a political pragmatist during a forest fire.. Instead of actually tackling the fire, he discusses the best way to utilize tools at hand, how to reserve resources for later, all the while the fire is taking homes, he strategizes.
