Don Lemon at CNN manages to plant his foot firmly between his jaws as he attempts to explain why the Kenyan is so mercilessly criticized by those in the press corps. (I am not making this up.) It's because he's black. (Again, I'm not making this up.) And as journalists, he and his ilk must ask all the tough questions because he's black. (I'm still not making this up.) But the tough questions necessarily follow a period of careful introspection and consideration, a thoughtful assessment of whether the questions should be asked at all -- because he's black. (Swear to Christ, I'm not making it up, though I used bigger words than Lemon did.)

It's like some weird race to the bottom, though I'm still trying to figure out how CNN even got into the race. Considering its NBC heritage -- quite a head start there! -- and the fact that it was already so near the bottom when it was founded, MSNBC turned out to be the tortoise to CNN's hare.
Wow. There is part of me hating that CNN is going this route, since they are Atlanta-based and employ a lot of people (how, I have no idea), but in any free market, they would be long gone. With Lemon, is he a subservient uneducated drone who will toe the line of the state-run media so he doesn't lose his lifestyle? Yes. However, with Lemon, it seems like he has a little common-sense gnome that is beating against the inside of his skull trying get out, but he just shoves it back in and continues to spew idiocy. Once in a while, he lets it out accidentally.
