Isn't Obama destined to lose this budget fight?

Two things, Boner giving in makes him look weaker than a newborn, and two, it would only give power to Cruz and lock the Tea party candidate in for a 2016 win.
Boner is more afraid of the base than he is of the Dim and their media, and that says a lot, considering he's never feared the base, ever.
This is the remarkable change in things.

Boner is actually scared enough to not side with the enemy.

He's actually afraid enough of the tea party element, to stop lusting for his little package of bene's earned by siding with the enemy.

Didn't think we'd ever see this.  I don't think he did either, lmao.  Now the only thing on his mind is not losing his beloved speakership.

I think you hit on the main reason for his brand new set of balls being acquired, on loan from Michelle.

Obama continues the leftist approach of tell a lie long enough and some people will begin to believe it. I just hope the GOP does not fold on some concessions about the debt limit. What I don't understand is why the GOP leadership does not come out and explain the executive branch is who makes decisions about allocation of funds without a debt ceiling increase. So any SS non payments (the ultimate scare tactic) would by Obama's choice.

Cavuto just opened his show with this subject. He basically called Obama and the dems liars for labeling what happens on 10/17 as a "default". He explained how Obama has to prioritize payments. Where is the GOP with this explanation?

Oh, I'm sure of that!

I very much doubt we would be in this stand-off, if not for the very serious talk of Republicans turning out to vote for any Democrat who opposed Boner in the next election.

What happened on this thread today?   All I see are responses.

Anyways, to answer the OP's title-question; Oduma's already lost.  His body-language shows it.  I don't really care for Boehner, but I'd never routinely miscalculate 'im like a cloistered psycho would do.  The President's starting to remind me of some stalker-chick, who's fixated on Boehner's potential prom-date proclivity.

The only reason for today's press-conference was because she called Boehner again, this morning, and B's latest rebuff began to look bad as a standalone news-item in the vacuum of the noon-hour.

Of course the conference was pathetic.  Who's responsible for the repeated miscalculation of Boehner?  It's not working.  The current Presidency is starting to look like the staging of Macbeth in a pig-sty.

Ding. Ding. Ding. Give that man a prize. Now you have it, the Dims definitely don't want to have to shaft some of their constituencies. They definitely don't want to shut down some federal agencies; because in the current atmosphere, it might be hard to start them up again. And federal workers who are "furloughed", can't be counted on at the polls. And even if they show up, they could be offset by voters delighted to see government poagies out on their collective asses.

Obama's entire agenda is built on class warfare, redistribution of wealth and tearing down this country. And he is doing it by spending recklessly. If he allows the country to "default" he loses the checkbook. SO no more money for unions or the mythical green sector. No more money for jobs. Come January Obamacare will begin hemorrhaging money and will quickly need a cash infusion. Obama does only one thing well. Spend. How could he allow himself to be cutoff from the money?

The left wing agenda is about re-appropriating funds that have been stolen from the middle class since the Reagan administration. The right wing has fought tooth and nail against everything related to helping the little guy, and has supported nothing but measures towards giving more money to people like your boys the Koch brothers. Which part of Tea Party idealism actually supports everyday people? Where is the part that working families actually are making enough money to survive without food stamps and government assistance? The end game in your ideology is the rich and powerful have unrestrained power and control over everything. Open wide for that golden warm trickle down effect.

Citizens United was one of the worst pieces of legislation that has ever passed in our government, and it is leading to billionaires controlling and manipulating politics. I don't know if it is true ignorance or willful ignorance that allows you to support such a destructive ideology, but it is your children that will pay for it.

Damn son, can you participate in a topic without puking up a generic, unrelated, random plop of propaganda  ?

If Citizens United was such a power grabber for the rich GOPers, do you mind telling us how the liberals own the WH and Senate  ?  The great takeover doesn't seem to have gone too well, lmao.

Or....it could be you.

This is called "taxation".  Libs want higher taxes.  Try again.

Incorrect.  Conservatives are pro business.  Liberals despise it.

Who has given more:  Koch to GOP, or Soros to the Dems?  And to what degree?

Aside from the smaller government, less taxes, pro-Second Amendment, pro-First Amendment, and preservation of personal property rights?  I guess none.

The ones the liberal government hasn't put out of business yet, and the ones they are subsidizing.

The rich and powerful don't have a military and the power to steal your wages.  Try again.

You just don't like wealthy people, and have wealth envy.  Why should your insecurities and disdain with your own life affect me?  You are free to be a loser.

Citizens united WASN'T legislation, it was a USSC decision: CITIZENS UNITED vs THE FEDERAL ELECTION COMMISSION. Feel free to explain why cooperations shouldn't be allowed to contribute to political campaigns, as other groups do - LIKE UNIONS!

It is not about the budget, the Dems have already said that they would accept the $ 986 billion number, but the Regressives don't want to accept "yes" as an answer.
