It's called "Newspeak".  You need to read "1984" by George Orwell.  It was meant as a warning, but the left is using it as a how-to-manual.
Political correctness and Newspeak have something in common. But Newspeak was to control people's thoughts, and political correctness is to avoid offenses. Newspeak was more mockery of soviet version of Russian.

Usually the offended are the busiest ones offending others.  Take one offense and raise you another two?  Enough with the stupidity.  If I want to support marriage and say so I will.  I don't give a bean if gays don't like God.  I love God.  The only reason gays want marriage is because they want to change the definition.  They could have civil unions.  Oh but how offensive if you don't approve of gay marriage.  LOL!

Gay issue will go down in history with the Scopes Monkey Trial, a landmark blow to already battered conservative Protestants, further placing control of those once great institutions in the hands of the left wing and further eliminating obstacles to communist rule.
Eventually, expect the authoritarian church and state to combine forces and step into the power void, as they did in Nazi Germany.  Too simple to comprehend.

Both are about control.  The "offensive" aspect is just an excuse to attack that which disagrees with the socialist agenda.  Of note is that any time someone comes out against ANY aspect of the socialist agenda, one of their pet "protected class" groups finds a way to make that objection "offensive".  But make no mistake, BOTH are about controlling those of us who will not fall in line like good little lemmings.

No it's still there.

It's definition just changed.

It now reads:

See anyone of the following:

(Biden or the Woman)
Or anyone of the morons who will still admit they voted for him not once but twice.

Adjusted jpg size.
walks

Is that photo shop picture or did Biden actually put a gun in her mouth?

Wait, I'm just curious. How does gay marriage threaten your definition of marriage in any way? Just because the government relinquished control of gays being able to get married, that somehow effects marriage as an "institution"? I don't get it. Why are you letting the government define marriage for you? I think the government should have nothing to do with marriage, whatsoever. But hey, that's just me. I guess I'm a bit more old fashioned when it comes to being a conservative.

Personally, I think it's a step in the right direction that gays are now allowed to marry. A very small step towards getting the government out of our personal lives in general.

Hey man, ya did say that government is forcing gay marriage on you. I just figured I'd paraphrase it in a politically correct way

Seriously though, in all honesty, why should the government decide that gay marriage isn't okay? Or why should they decide if we should own guns? Why should Obama be allowed to spy on us via the NSA?

Yeah, I'm all about civil liberties dude. I'd prefer America to stay free, thank you very much. But it seems I'm in the minority these days...

No, how you view Conservatism is in the minority.
I know your type, you thought liberalism was the answer, that was until you voted in a Marxist, you discovered you'd been sold a lie, you were taught that the GOP was evil and believed it, so you moved to the Libertarian side, in turn rejecting both party's.

All well and fine, but you have absolutely no historical reference or solutions to the problem.
Govt was charged with record keeping of marriage/lineage preservation, but this required growing bureaucracy, meaning increased taxes, leading to inequality in income tax, which leads to changing tax codes, which leads to more inequality and govt interference.

Now we find ourselves where the govt becomes self appointed keeper over culture, leaving them to redefine marriage as they please and changing millenia of culture that has proven effective in preservation of marriage.

So which is it? Do we allow govt to redefine cultural norms, or is it charged with preservation of proven successful norms in society?
