This really does explain a lot.  It's going to be HIL-ARIOUS to watch those who took him seriously and bet their careers on him.

Just a couple of weeks ago this article appeared and got nowhere near the attention it merited.  Stephanie Cegielski, communications director for the now defunct pro-Trump Make America Great Again PAC (are you seeing a pattern with the "defunct" part?) wrote an open letter in which she labeled the Trump campaign a con, a publicity stunt:
#PureBlood #TrumpWon

Unlike serious candidates, Trump tends to make every state campaign "Defunct" after the election.
Cruz has kept every campaign office open after the caucus/primary, while Trump packs it in.

Does that sound like a man planning to stay in it till the end?
Hell, even the Marxist still has campaign offices open, and he isn't even running.

NY could be Trump's death knell.

If Donnie does slip out a side door, think we'll ever see any of his supporters come her bemoaning how he betrayed them?

The schadenfreude will be....tremendous.

Well maybe. I do think he is in this to win it but it has become rather apparent that he never thought he needed to put much effort into it and is now losing control of it all. Cruz's infrastructure is better than Obama's. Trump's manipulation of the media is unparalleled. He played them like a cheap mandolin but in the end it is all about the ground game. So Trump being incapable of understanding the rules could be him designing a way out. It will be messy. There will be lawsuits, the coverage will be yuuuge but he would have an exit.

He may sue the country.

From the same article, sounds like the vultures are circling.

QuoteDonald Trump hired a low-end wannabe operative, Corey Lewandowski, to run his campaign. He hired crew of similar zeroes to help him out. He built no field infrastructure — the man just appointed a state chair for California last week. He relies on public polling. His campaign strategy is nothing more that a bunch of high school pep rallies.

A complete JOKE.  Really.   Public polling gives a snapshot over a broad range, useful for media types.  Internal polling is the nuts-n-bolts, tells the candidates who is effected by what ads, what to work on, where the ads have worked or not worked, who to target and with what - pretty hard to use public polls for running a campaign.  Public polls don't touch the HUGE databases of material the internal pollsters use to cost effectively use campaign money wisely.

Big money, just spent can't compete with Smaller money targeted wisely.  Trump is a 3-ring circus, he's the only show, a one-man clown act.  Opening and closing offices a week or two before the primary, while your opponent has an organization in place, collecting data, canvassing, etc., for months - all you're got is your strength of personality!

If there is an underdog, who is it?

When this is all said and done I do see a bankruptcies in his near future.

That's why he could never finish his autobiography. He can't get pass "Chapter 11".

It may work in Professional Wrestling where fans are easily manipulated and willing to buy into the fake story line, but in reality and beyond all the hype and hoopla is where the two part ways.

...and what about Sarah Palin?

She's no political dummy, and loves political attention.  I'm curious what & where she'll go next - after the bank.  In the-art-of-the-deal, would you set a timeline on the endorsement, "I can exit your campaign and turn on you like a hungry barracuda on a gold-fish after x-days, last primary state, or your untimely exit."...?

One other thing.  Will we hear a giant "sucking sound" beginning with the first big endorser leaving Trump?
Who would be first?

Are they mentally lining up at the exit?

Will it be quiet, fading voices, silence... no comment?

Will it be LOUD voices, "He's a damn FRAUD!!!.  He tryied to hijack the Republican party!  He promised me the VP slot!  WHA...???  he promised me the vp slot... hey, he promised me the vp slot"  (akin to "The Producers", right?)

muttering, "we're got a special AUDIT this SOB ... the sounds of rubber gloves snapping as they're pulled on...  Lois Learner, we got a special job for you!"

Will it be utter embarrassment, followed by contrition?  "Hey Pubs, I was really with you all the time, I just endorsed Trump to infiltrate his camp ...  actually I was a traitor to Trump, a spy, informant, I was always your guy. ... can I keep my chairmanship?"

Time to fire up the popper for a fresh batch!

Not under threat of a lawsuit. They all signed nondisclosure agreements, it's a Trump standard.
But leaks are a bitch and hard to prove and can be even more damaging in the long
run, especially when suddenly people start leaving with a YUUUUGE "NO DAMN COMMENT" as they head out the door, leaving the media to speculate, which tends to grab headlines as long as no one answers.

Suing them for disclosing political information, would only make it worse for Donald. How far do you think he would get for suing someone for disclosing he's a lying, corrupt SOB. Hope he enjoys that dollar the courts usually give out.
