Yeah, that's what I thought.... Through eight years as president, Eisenhower logged something like 1,000 days of golf, played around 800 complete rounds, notably at Augusta National, and had a putting green installed at the White House. When he became president in 1953 there were an estimated 3 million golfers in the US. When he left the WH in 1961, that number had doubled. Zowie!
