Sorry, but if you voted for him, I really don't care. Really I don't.  You've devastated my country, so it's only fitting that you live your lives WAITING for help from your Godvernment.

But, but, but, when O came to tour the devastation got his photo op, he said there would be no red tape...NO RED TAPE, he said, anyone who has to wait longer than 15 minutes needs to call me, he said...as he was boarding his plane to campaign some more.
Sandy was the October surprise, sad but true, and Obama saw it for the opportunity it was.  Those people were blatantly used, but let's face it, it still won't change enough minds to matter.

One can only imagine the outrage by the MSM over Sandy if Bush was president? Obama gets a pass for his lies, I'm sure most of us knew it at the time.

They would be screaming for his resignation, but we both know that that which applies to the Pub., does not apply to the Dem.  The hurricane that hit New Orleans during the beginning of hurricane season, Obama didn't even plan to visit, it took him twice as long to get there as it took Bush to get there after Katrina.  In fact, I can't think of one single disaster that happened on his watch where he showed up faster than Bush, except Sandy.

Let this be a lesson to us all...don't depend on the Govt to help you, you should have prepared for disaster on your own.

It does not matter what party someone is from, a tragedy is a tragedy. Some things are beyond politics. Those who voted for Obama are ignorant, but the ignorant can not help a natural disaster. Congress failed big time on Sandy relief, and Speaker Boehner has again proven he is not a leader.

NJDUDEABIDES,  I think you are missing the whole point of the replies preceding yours.  Putting any trust in government leaders at this time and for years as well is just a waste of your valuable time.  Time spent preparing for the unexpected will be the best avenue to pursue.  You can't expect government people, who already have what they want or need now and in their futures, to anticipate the road we travel.  Their main interest lies and is applied to whatever is in the works for them and theirs.

It is definitely time for a change in the way matters concerning us are taken care of.  It is past time for us to put right folks in these jobs.  I'm almost convinced that noone cares about our Constitution and Bill of Rights but what will take it's place?  If we couldn't abide these rights, laws and or amendments, how would we adhere to anything similar?  When the very ones we put in office abuse the privileges afforded them and us by these precious documents, who would or could you trust with your interests?
