Quote from: Solar on August 31, 2023, 06:35:20 PMCorrect Je, what it does prove is, these kids only get their info from leftist sites.
They've been brainwashed into believing, that any source that goes against the leftist narrative, must be a conspiracy site.

I believe were batting 100 in proving everything the left claimed is conspiracy, in fact turned out to be the truth later ion.
Damn Solar, nailed it again. I never looked at it from that perspective, but that explains so much. Sure explains some of the view points here.

Quick edit, but come to think of it, only liberals use the term conspiracy theory. I have never heard a conservative use that term.

I've actually had conversations where libs actually admit it and claim intellectual superiority, because they think they are smarter than the media.

I swear, that is an impossible point to argue against, because they believe any proof you post, proves their point.    :bigl  :bigl  :bigl  :bigl  :bigl

Sean Hannity uses the term "conspiracy theory" to refer to leftist hoaxes,
like "Trump colluded with Russia!"
Here are the 10 RINOs who voted to impeach Trump on Jan. 13, 2021 - NEVER forget!
WY  Liz Cheney      SC 7  Tom Rice             WA 4  Dan Newhouse    IL 16  Adam Kinzinger    OH 16  Anthony Gonzalez
MI 6  Fred Upton    WA 3  Jaime Herrera Beutler    MI 3  Peter Meijer       NY 24  John Katko       CA 21  David Valadao

Yeah I remember. I should have stated that a liberal will use the term to dispute facts. A conservative will use the term to dispute lies.

Sean Handytity still has an audience?

That guy doesn't even know what Conservative means anymore than McConnel knows the Bill of Rights and what it means.

I'm old enough to remember "the news." You know, the newspaper, the radio and Chet Huntley and Walter Cronkite and such. That was all we had. At the time, I thought they were reporting the truth. Now I realize that it was all curated, too, just like the legacy/leftist "news" is today. And we all trusted the DOJ and CDC and so on, to uphold justice and work toward our good.

The thing that has changed is that we have the internet and cameras in every hand. Look at the collapse of Hillary at her van in 2016. Stumbles and falls and huge gaffes by Biden, the Obama chef "incident," horrifying video out of Afghanistan during the Biden pullout ... all would have been edited or suppressed.  Vaccine injuries and deaths, just think if those had gone unreported in any way! But we could see it in real time and in real obituaries and real doctors speaking outside the mainstream.

In other words, the media controlled the truth then as now, but now we have ways around them.

I remember my grocery checker glued to her phone while I was checking out, something she normally never would have done. She was getting updates from her son in Afghanistan while the Biden pullout hell was going on. He said there was no order, total chaos, no vetting or search of people piling onto American busses and planes, and American soldiers were aware that any of those people could be wearing explosives that could take out the whole bus or plane. "Orderly," my ass.

I find President Trump's massive lead right now fascinating ... I do think that in 2020 more people than we realize saw the election steal happen in real time because even the legacy/leftist media couldn't hide it happening. They could suppress the truth of it afterward, but those massive vote jumps were there for all to see on the election night and still today all over the internet.

This is why they have to exercise ever greater control over us. We are indeed in an information war, but truth has a way of rising to the top of people's awareness over the noise.

RIP, Joe. We fight on.

I think TV news channels have become more bias than ever.  Even so-called "news" channels have little news broadcasting and much more opinion broadcasting, especially during primetime when most people are watching, because ratings are getting harder and harder to come by.  Their opinions are skewed almost entirely in one direction because viewers want confirmation bias, not balanced opinions.  CNN viewers don't want to hear about Twitter censoring Trump when he was banned.  They WANT to hear about the things he said that got him banned.

Portable video devices have been great in exposing things awful behavior by some police officers.  Portable video devices have been terrible because people will stand by and record someone get the shit beat out of them rather than helping because they want likes or views.

The other problem with news is that too often there's little discretion in what is accepted as news.  I was reading about the ridiculous Trump stuff in Georgia and came across a video of the Detroit/TCF Center incident in 2020.  A situation that was started because a random person on Twitter claimed that a cameraman rolling his stuff into the TCF Center was actually smuggling in ballots.  That's all it took, even though the news person who was literally working with the cameraman also Tweeted that it was his cameraman pulling his stuff into the building.

Wrong. Those with the money control what goes in the news. It has nothing to do with ratings, if it did, we would not be seeing the crap on all the stations. Ex. just look at how they all handled covid, they all had the same lies and solutions.

The changes at CNN, including firing a gay black man, don't agree with your beliefs.

But reality does. Some do pay the price for not obeying orders. Let me ask, how has CNN changed now? They haven't, still the same old bs you find on the other stations. Tell me, which one of them covered Hunter's laptop the best?    Which one told you the russian hoax was fake?  Think you are getting news stories, you are getting exactly what they want you to get.

Right, so your claim is true until it isn't

When CNN brings in somebody new to run the company, because they're ratings and reputation are garbage, that's just another exception?

And you think that many many people own all the different stations??? That stations change hands often?? They don't. Oh, and how many own them?  How about 15. See, you can change the news casters, but the owners stay the same. You can tell the public that NOW, they will tell the truth, but the owners stay the same. By the way, where is the answer, ""Tell me, which one of them covered Hunter's laptop the best?    Which one told you the russian hoax was fake? ""

I didn't say anything about who owns what. CNN hired somebody that was going to intentionally bring them more towards the center. Not only did they fire a gay black guy, but they also fired other liberal talking heads because, again, their ratings were shit and their reputation was shittier.

Does that sound like Lib money at work or free market at work?
