I apologize on the behalf of the entire United Kingdom for this clown...

It is not the United Kingdom  fault.  Why do you think he went to Canada.

Tell me again why any of us has to waste time arguing our politics with any foreigner.

Wow, the fact that I am a Canadian (with dual citizenship)seems to have amused you drones for a whole page!

I am powerful, indeed.

OK so we clear this metric thing up,
the metric system has been standard operating procedure in Canada since the 70's regardless of what you drones post.

My proof would be that I lived it!

My status.
landed in 78, became citizen in 90.

Born a liberal, married a liberal, raised liberal children that all became ACLU lawyers

(not really)  just in law school.

but they have some Liberal ideas, let me tell you.

Live near Santa Barbara.

Currently work in IT.

Now you are up to date.

So you are a sassinak that emigrated to Canada and tries to debate US politics. No wonder you get your ass handed to you every day.

Notice how he doesn't specify which nationality he now is, just that he became a citizen. That and he loves a measurement system which has been actively fought in the U.S. since the issue first arose in the 1970s.

Who cares if nobody wants it here, as long as he can promote its use elsewhere --- as in the country which can't find jobs for IT people so he has to steal work from a deserving American.

Yes quill, I became a french citizen so me and my American wife and daughters can get tri citizenship.

AND I am here in the US secretly undermining the use of the imperial system.

An evil French plot.

Why are you so obsessed with the metric system?

So you know squat about IT among other things. Not surprising.

Sad fact for you two, is he has no idea what he is talking about.

I'm Canadian. I grew up learning Metric in the 60's.

You guys need to get out more.

the Canadians are very adaptable.  They use both as necessary.

BUT metric is a WAY more efficient system

This explains everything.

same old rhetoric, different day.

Gas in CANADA, who has more oil than saudi, is over $5/.

grow up and face reality in a global market place.

US oil production has NEVER been higher and imports never lower.

So what's the big problem here?
