Governor Perry went to CA to sell some businesses on moving to TX.  Of course Gov Brown tried to make fun of him, but a lot of businesses seem to be interested in the move.

I saw an interview with Gavin Newsom. He is the former mayor of San Francisco and has some state position now I guess. He made some outlandish statement about how business friendly CA is. I am sure Solar has much more insight than I do on this.

They are business friendly, until you start making money and need to expand, and if you have a brick and mortar establishment, you get nailed with all kinds of fees, as well as a tax on your electric bill.
If I remember correctly, I paid 25% more for electricity when I had my health clubs in Sacto., and they aren't ashamed to tell you it's to subsidize low income people to pay for their electricity.

It's one of the reasons I kept a very low profile here and did much of my business on line and always ordered product out of state.

All the taxes there are ridiculous. I just moved from NorCal after being stationed there for 4 years. The weather is great, the taxes, not so much.

Yes, the weather is beautiful as well as the State, but libs are ruining a once prosperous state.
Business is leaving, and the libs do stupid studies in an effort to prove liberalism won't destroy business, only to be proven wrong.
But as in every case, libs have an extremely short term memory issue and forget the evidence.

They're no different than communists supporters, they too believe communism can work, it just hasn't been applied correctly yet, and libs do the same, until it finally leads to communism.

Perry needs to remember, the minute people from blue states get big enough to have a voice, they start wanting to change things into the place they left. They are incapable of making the connection between high taxes and all of the government goodies they like.

Personally, I think it's a dangerous game he's playing. He would be better off appealling strictly to conservatives that feel trapped in blue states.

I don't have a problem with yanks, per se, but it always starts with the slow leftist creep...........and it's always neat new ideas to make the community a better place. I see it happening around Raleigh, almost weekly.

We should improve our public transportation program...
