Title: GOP throws Obama's old deficit stands back at him
Post by: Bronx on December 11, 2012, 12:57:57 PM
WASHINGTON — Some of the best Republican arguments against President Barack Obama's proposals to avoid a "fiscal cliff" come from the president himself, in comments he made months or years before his re-election.

Stung by the GOP's midterm election gains in 2010, Obama took stands that differ from his current positions on raising tax rates, adjusting Social Security and other topics now dominating Washington as a Dec. 31 deadline nears.

Sometimes gleefully, Republicans throw Obama's old words back at him. They portray him as inconsistent at best, insincere at worst.

To a point Obama is like Clinton he says ANYTHING he thinks the public wants to hear and he gets a free ride.
I didn't understand why Romney just didn't make commercials of all the things Obama said over the last four years. Could have been a 30 minute commercial and all his words. Remember how unpatriotic it was to raise the debt limit. Now it's the greatest thing in the world.

I moved to Seattle in 2001  (right after 911) and lived there for nearly 3 years.  My first day there, I was heading toward Pike Market and saw a group of ruffled, bearded hippie-types dressed in the usual scruffy manner *all* smoking marijuana on the corner ... with a Seattle police officer directing traffic no more than a half block away.  After eating, I walked over to the police officer (now having a coffee and standing doggo on the sidewalk).  I asked him about the group of tokers blazing away down the street, in full view.  Said he, "Well, yeah, its illegal, but they frown on drug arrests; were told not to waste our time."

You poor boy no one told you?    That's all Seattle police officer would be doing is drug arrests in Seattle.   There out before the book work is done on the average arrests.      It is a Dem city and state.

Take note folks, this attitude is prevelant not only in Seattle but in most other US cities as well....thats why we have a drug/gang problem.
