I knew there was more to the story.
Washington is full of this kind 0of behavior and everyone gets a pass.
The claim he could be black mailed is ludicrous, the cats out of the bag, how could he be blackmailed?

He can still testify before the house, that is, if the PUBS still have one ball between them.

As a private citizen, is there anything from stopping him from talking now and raising a stink about this corrupt president (assuming he really is one of the "good" guys--adultery aside)?

It's hard to say, he is after all a General, duty, honor still applies.
Depends on how he viewed the incident, and whether or not they have something else on him.

I always thought that Paetraus was a strange pick for CIA Chief - especially after all that "General Betrayus" B.S. during the Bush years. If were me, I would have told them to go eff themselves!

I wonder if he didn't just make up this "affair" thing to justify his resignation.

I mean, after all, if there was an actual affair, he's head of the CIA, if anyone would know how to keep something like that quite it should be him, right?
