The only way Obama will get the unemployment numbers down is if a few million more people stop looking for a job.

C'mon people. Get those bugs out of yiur asses and stop being such negative Nancies. This is good news. No it's not a guarantee. But when you use good news as an excuse to talk about everything that might go wrong then you are being a little negative. Lol
If you believe big government is the solution then you are a liberal. If you believe big government is the problem then you are a conservative.

........and then there is AA announcing the reduction of 13K jobs.....gotta love the good news. Hopefully they are union jobs.
I thought I was wrong one time but I was mistaken.

U.S. Job Creation Best Since September 2008
Job Creation Index is at +16, compared with +14 in previous three months
by Dennis Jacobe, Chief Economist

PRINCETON, NJ -- Job market conditions improved in the United States in January as Gallup's U.S. Job Creation Index reached +16, its highest point since September 2008.
U.S. Job Creation Index, Monthly Averages, 2008-2012

Hiring and Firing Improve, Are at Best Levels Since 2008

The Job Creation Index of +16 is based on 33% of workers nationwide saying their employers are hiring workers and expanding the size of their workforce, and 17% saying their employers are letting workers go and reducing the size of their workforce. Hiring and firing have each improved by one percentage point since December. The percentage hiring matches the 33% of June 2011, and the two reflect the highest hiring levels since September 2008. The percentage letting go is the lowest since June 2008.

Job Market Conditions Show Improvement vs. a Year Ago in All Regions

Job market conditions remain best in the Midwest, with a Job Creation Index of +20; the South is second, at +17. The Index is +11 in the East and +12 in the West. The largest year-over-year improvement has been in the Midwest and the West, both of which are up by seven points. The index has increased by four points in the South and three points in the East compared with the same month a year ago.

Implications

January's increase in Gallup's Job Creation Index is good news about job market conditions. The index is not seasonally adjusted and the job situation usually deteriorates at this time of year, making the improvement last month even more impressive.

The index also seems consistent with the government's weekly report on jobless claims, which are running under 400,000. Over time, the Job Creation Index has tended to correlate with this government report.

Job market conditions are uneven across the nation. In the Midwest, they are at their best since April 2008. Similarly, in the South, conditions are at their best since September 2008. This may suggest that manufacturing continues to improve in the middle of the country, helping those regions' job conditions to outpace conditions on both coasts.

Overall, Gallup's Job Creation Index suggests an improving job environment in January. This is probably not yet enough to stimulate significant job growth, but is enough to keep job conditions from deteriorating and is sufficient to provide some added optimism about the job situation going forward.

Allow me to put it in perspective for you.
Bush has a glass of water 95% full, percentage wise, how can he add more than 5% to the glass without over filling it?

Hussein comes along and destroys the economy, taking the water level way down, in turn making room for more water to be added, in fact he took the level so far down, that adding 16% quickly, was nothing considering it was damn near dry.

Now does this help?
If not I can simplify it and use toy ducks, a bath tub and really cool sounds of guns and fire engines.
Oh wait, you're a lib and those aren't PC.
We can dig up some sounds like birds and a babbling brook?

Food, fuel and healthcare costs are way beyond the official inflation rates. Ditto for education costs. Unemployment would be around 10% if we didn't game the number for all of the people who stopped looking for a job. Investor confidence is at a historic low. Obama is going to lose big and his coat tails are gonna drag down even more Dems in congress.

Yes the media is biased and yes there are a lot of stupid, self-serving voters out there who don't want the gravy train to stop, but Obama is screwed.

I hope you're right, but the unions, blacks, all welfare recipients, Jews, probably all the Catholics and most of the Hispanics would vote for Obama if he had two heads. These people make up over 40% of the population, if not more.  Figure in the ACORN cheats and other Obama groups and it starts to get scary.

Sigh. Stop and take a deep breath, folks! Polls like this don't necessarily mean squat. Just because people 'disapprove' doesn't mean they'll be voting for the 'other guy'. The brainwashed will still march down to the voting booth and do their duty.

Also, the votes will have to be counted, and we know how enterprising the demokrats are in that area, don't we?  :)) :)) ;D
If the left wing media is even mentioning the possibility of Obozo losing, things are probably far worse then they are saying. Their internal polling must be horrendous.

Let's start with the whole "left wing media" thing you guys like to talk about whenever the media says something positive about Obama.

Unless mega corporations are now left wing organizations, you might want to rethink the "left wing media".

who owns the media?

http://www.freepress.net/ownership/chart/main

gee, 6 mega corporations own 90% of what we see and hear.

The media is CONTROLLED by corporations. conservative organizations by nature.

Corporations are on the GOP, de-regulators side of things,
not the Liberal, regulate side of things!!

Your Liberal Media assertion, make so sense!

Hussein comes along and destroys the economy,

statistics that YOU and I have already shared, show the GDP running at negative levels for the LAST YEAR of the Bush administration. Bush hit a NEGATIVE 6.8 in GDP.

IF the Bush economy was doing so well, WHY the stimulus BUSH gave us in 2008?

You remember the 600 per person check we got??

he did that because the economy was TANKING.

THEN in the fall of 2008 the recession started BIG TIME.

BUSH BAILED out the BANKS and you say Obama killed the economy when he got in office?
YOU take info gathering tips from Rush (can't tell the truth) Limbaugh!

I thought we agreed to had a FACT based discussion!

Bush was acting like a lib. When the Dems took over in 2006, it started tanking.  It tanked even more with Hussein.  Some of the bleeding was stopped after the Rebubs took over the house in November 2010.  After we take back the Senate and Congress, hopefully we can hold off the damage for another 4 years after this next RINO/Hussein term.

One can only hope, as previously stated votes must be counted first and we know how well we can count on that! It will truly be a day of celebration for sure! We do have to hope that people aren't blinded by the medias hyping Obamas accomplishments for the country. LOL Yes some will fall for whatever they here on TV
