Yes, it's a given, TEA will seize the GOP and extricate the socialists, but I found it interesting that the CPUSA (Communist Party USA) penned a letter aligning with the Dim party for the sole purpose of taking it over.
One point they make, and it's a serious concern because the Dims embraced crony capitalism, and it's another reason I believe many have abandoned the Dim party.
It's this point the author makes clear that these crony Dims are targets too removed, leaving behind a party of pure socialists.
It's a long letter, so I highlighted a few points that sum up this POS.
Because Democrats embrace a multi-class constituency, the class struggle rages within, between what are loosely the Wall Street and the progressive or pro-labor wings. This includes a struggle against mayors like Rahm Emanuel (Chicago) and governors like Andrew Cuomo (New York) who champion the neo-liberal agenda and those considered part of the so-called "Blue Dogs."
Fifth, we participate in coalition campaigns that challenge the Wall Street wing of the Democratic Party and galvanize forces around a progressive agenda, mainly in Democratic primary elections. These include labor activists, progressives, socialists and communists who emerge from movements and run as candidates, backed by broad coalitions. A campaign by socialist Bernie Sanders within the Democratic Party presidential primaries would help do just this.

Yeah, I think people like McConnel and Boner are done. They may not know it, but they really aren't respected.
My advice the last election cycle, get those two out, even it it means replacing them with a Democrat (we'd still have a majority), but getting them out would have sent a powerful message to the rest of the GOP. It will happen the next few else ction cycles.

Pelosi?
I almost feel like what the Democrats/left is doing to this country is worse than communism. Did the communists feel oppressed? Did they lose their feeling of national unity? Was their society divided like ours is? Were their ideologies so split that they went around openly hating each other and trying to destroy each other?
Outside of the civil war, I think the war going on inside this country right now is worse than all the other wars we've been in.
What comes after communism? I think the Democrats are looking at communism in the rear view mirror.

The Dim party is having an identity crisis, part loves crony capitalism and control, while the other half is pure Marxist.
Their future is inevitable.

Not as long as they control the schools and academia.
If that isn't addressed, and soon, there is no fixing it.

Karl, Mao, 'n the guys didn't want teens wasting their prime
youthful years in school, when they could be out in the farm-fields or marching in military-parades. That's the future that the current Democratic Party is determined to make happen.
Academics would soon be imprisoned as 'deviants'.
They think they can have it both ways. -Flourishing as outcasts and scoundrels, yet in-control and in-power.

Pelosi?
It would not be Pelosi or a democrat. The GOP caucus selects their leader in both houses. Then entire the body votes for either the GOP or democrat leader. As long as the GOP has a majority booting Boehner and McConnell would not result in a democrat being Speaker or Leader.

Which changes nothing, they're still at a crossroads whether they stop and throw off the Marxists or move towards full communist ideals.
Though it is true, in their pursuit of destroying young minds has sealed their fate towards that of Marxism, whether it's a decade or more, the cancer has taken over the Party Dim and I see no way for it to ever recover.
Hell, they elected a Marxist, the best damned thing that could have ever take place in this country.
Sometimes it takes getting mugged for people to see that their false sense of security can be yanked away in a generation.
We are now one generation away from losing this nation, and it took a commie in the WH to wake people up. So yeah, thank you Dims for a dose of reality.
It really is up to the Dim party which way they turn, I just wish they'd make a Right turn. But I doubt that will ever happen.

Nah, it won't happen. They are sold out lock, stock, and barrel to the Devil. They have sold the souls.

I agree. All so called "moderate" democrats have been driven out of the party. They are wandering out there trying to decide if they should be libertarian or republican. There is nothing left in the democrat party but far leftists.

More than the right, the threat of a third party emerging on the left is very real.
It would take decades to find middle ground between the two feuding factions.
It's for this reason I say the Dim party is dead as we know it for another 3 decades, I just hope the Right doesn't get complacent interim after we steal the GOP.
Understand something about communism....Russian or Chinese style.....The elites get RICHER and amass all the wealth and pretty much everyone else is poor. And extreme example would be North Korea. THE COMMIES IN THOSE COUNTRIES GOT POWER FROM WITHIN, NOt by importing millions of outsiders to help them do it.
The kicker for the progressives (marxists) is they are importing tens of thousands of illegals every year to pad their voting block, with something like 13 or 15 million illegals and maybe another 20 million on Visas of some sort YOU CAN'T CONTROL THAT MANY PEOPLE, also they could form their own party and go against YOU the progressive.
A lot of these people coming here are socialists and have that mind set, don;t think for a second that some of them don;t have a marxist agenda of their own.
I really don;t think the Dems realize what sort of monster they are building, one that could potentially take the country and power away from them as well as us.

Good point Billy, there are varying levels of communist rule, from Polpot, Lenin, to South American Castro's, Venezuela etc.
But like you say, they all share one inevitably, that of a single dictator for life in a single ruling party.
It's quite a perplexing issue with these Dims. How can they not make the connection to the inevitable?
Take Joe, can he really be sooo damn stupid to not see where the party is going?
They all have to share one idiots brain to be able to ignore reality.
